I read that… closed the thread… then had to re-open it in a double take moment. “Did he say tugging duty” - Yes… yes he did.
And I presume he’s not even tugging himself
Bad form to reply to one’s own posts I know but I take it all back, that pillow has revolutionised my back health.
I’ve always been predominantly a front sleeper which I was aware was bad for me, but when you’re asleep what can you do about it . This pillow has forced me to sleep on my back & despite those teething pains - which lasted a couple of days - I’ve happily managed half a dozen or so centuries in the last fortnight which would normally cripple me.

I know you deleted the post, but anyway, I’ve tried the melatonin gummis (zzzquil), 1st time they helped great, 2nd and 3rd time they made me more awake It was very annoying and I won’t be trying them again.
Yeah I posted something about melatonin, just personal experience, then deleted it because of overlap with day job which requires a slightly more professional approach
it’s interesting to hear that @Annas . Have heard different things from different people. Some it doesn’t seem to work much for, others have felt ill with it etc. partly why I was curious.
Think the only time I’d consider using it now might be on a night flight across time zones. As long as someone else was driving at the other end
My sleep has been ruined for months now by the cat. Even though he’s not disturbing me as much I’m not closing my eyes early enough to get 7-8hrs anyway.
On the plus side I’ve been on the sofa those months so at least I’m not being kicked in the nads all night.
I’ve used it for jetlag and tried it on occasion if I’ve had really disturbed sleep for a week or so.
Some wild dreams are the only thing I associate with it. Sometimes it seems to help me get to sleep, but I’ll usually be doing a bunch of other things to try and help too so it’s hard to tell.
Now 24 hours since taking 10mg of melatonin. Think I must be particularly sensitive to it.
Slept for 13 hours, 5pm-6am. Got up feeling groggy, had some breakfast, went for a run, but still felt sleepy so went back to bed and slept for another 3 hours, 10am-1pm.
Now 24 hours later I just feel hungover, with a throbbing headache.
Not going near that stuff again!
I tried that stuff. I didnt sleep but wasnt awake either. Was odd. Jusg sort of felt like between being awake and asleep. Not bothering again.
How strong was it? As in how many mg?
5mg per gummy, took 2 gummies
That’s a massive dose isn’t it?
“The usual dose is one 2mg slow release tablet taken 1 to 2 hours before bedtime.”
will tell you when I wake up
But yep & it’s surprising me how meds & doses vary country to country.
I remember when we went to Cuba years ago. I felt a bit odd one day and had bad back ache. Wife went the pharmacy on site and came back with some Ibuprofen that was about 4 times stronger than the stuff you get over here
I’ve heard that’s down to how much the population takes generally. So my wife who quaffs pills every day vs myself who refused morphine with a partially severed nerve - she’ll take 400mg neurofen where I’ll take 100mg.
You and me need a sleep support group. I had 5 hours last night and 4 the night before.
A pretty shite 6hrs 45 for me last night and a ‘poor’ sleep score of 49!
Must have been something in the air. I was up at 02:15 for work on Saturday morning and was barely awake by the time I went to bed at 22:30. But for some reason I had really disrupted sleep with Garmin reporting 2h10m awake and a sleep score of 44. Feeling pretty lethargic today
