Thought experiment- stable destroyed by fire

I had an old P2 but time difference, compared to Venge, was small enough for me to sell. Venge is also lighter and has disc so for me it’s faster up and downhill.

Also I’ve decided against long distance Tris for now, and the majority round here are hilly!

£10k would be bloody immense to spend on a stable!
I try to pick up a lot second hand, and with the insanity of the TT world in the UK there’s always someone who’s getting rid of something for minimal cost because they think they can buy another 2 watts.

I’d try to repeat what I’ve got:

  • £1.1k for ex-demo Trek speed Concept. £500 for second hand wheels (£300 for Hed 3 spokes, £200 for PRO disc). Quick enough for me. PM pedals £350
  • cheap bike for turbo/rollers £500
  • Fixie commuter with good mudguards and good lights and lock (I live in Cambridge, everything gets stolen) £300
  • Floating rollers £250
  • TACX Neo £1k, fiddle some insideride KICKR bases so I can get a decent movement, £800.
MTB for both my wife and I, £2.5k in total.
Then there’s enough for some time and trips to use the bloody things!
