After 2 years I’d forgotten how bastard tough iron distance racing is; slowing but ticking along nicely with 10:20 odd in range then absolutely detonated at 22 miles odd.
Dizzy, could barely move, thought I was going to keel over a few times. Straight into medical after, low blood sugar, low blood pressure.
Will do a full report in the next day or two.

Great job everyone! And thank you for the updates. That was a good day. Not sure who I saw out there, but lots of good vibes on the course. I finished with a 15:20, no complaints. Gut issues sent me to the portaloo a few times, but that’s part of the game. It was my first IM in three and a half years, and I’m happy that I can still get it done. Sub-14 seems in reach, I know what I need to work on.
