Fishing?
4 miles? What is this witchcraft you speak of?
‘Cos they be weirdAF in Cheadle, Staffs.
It’s not Cheadle, Mancs

A rod is 16 ft and 6 inches, so is it just a bit longer than 4 miles ?
I stayed in a B&B in Cheadle once with my g/f before our first visit to Alton towers.
Found a tracker
Looks like they’re going well but Dad is being left behind.
Yeah, no disputing that.
Later in the season they ran a 7 mile race for years.
7 miles.
Not 10k, not even 10 miles. 7.
I think Covid has forced a rethink as races have become more competitive.
Poet out in 1:04
Blue Andy in 1:29
TRO in 1:10
Grapes are being crushed
From about an hour ago:
Poet well past the 20km point on the bike. Blue Andy just passing 10km. TRO coming up on 20. Homer out of T1. And TC just coming out into the bike course as is Fubarbloke.
If I’m interpreting the tracker page correctly…well done all so far, wish I’d taken a last minute entry now. Sat on my arse all day when I could be crushing grapes.
There’s no way to tell what position in category is there?? Before I get moaned at later
Dry in Notts… But a bit breezy.
@Poet Thomas - #97 past 40km
@TROSaracen - Chris #246 past 40 @Blueandy - Andy #654 past 30
@Toyota_Crown #850 past 20
@Homer - Carol #704 past 20
@fubarbloke #1411…worryingly tracker still in T1, hoping it’s a tracker issue
Actually having just managed to scroll down I’m not sure any of these are reliable, “last seen” is way off the estimated distance.

Is the results base tracker usually like this?
Last seen is the last timing point I think. But I guess some not picked up at 17.5 🤷
Looking good so far
Next timing seems to be at 64miles
ETA @Poet and @TROSaracen through 64miles at 1:42/43
. But I don’t understand the tracker…showing 79miles total 🤷. 64miles is 37mph average, grape crushing for sure
ETA again…the time for 13 and 64 splits are the same, but only some have BP3. Maybe something wrong with the BP3 timing mat, hasn’t got a time… probably should just wait a bit for the next update
That tracker website is shite.
ETA - actually if you use the starer list and click on them there, and scroll down that page, it gives you checkpoints and average speeds. So I take it back.
TRO was 4 mins ahead of Poet through 128km on the bike. About 3 mins back in total I think, given his swim.
Some very fast bike times up front. Kit Walker 4:31 and a couple of 4:36, of the names I recognised and clicked on (Tom Mcglashan & Ian Dempsey).
Just down on the embankment and looks like first runners through.
Any specific heckles… Mainly for poet… lemme know.
