I’m confused. Isn’t this the same story I posted ages ago but she was Australian?
Yep same person but it looks like the outcome and she was flying in from Australia before the race.
Ah I see. It all seemed pretty familiar.
Same story but this is the outcome of the formal disciplinary procedure by British Athletics
Don’t tell them on that elitist sub-17 5km thread but I seem to have entered the Sea to Summit ultra on the 10th Dec.

That’s the quietest thread on the forum.
That looks ace Doony!
Trail race season has started in Kent and I may be able to do one or two this winter.
Nike Trail 4.
Certainly for what I’m imagining park runs are like. If it’s a flood plain then you’re fucked either way but Wildhorse are less soft, still React foam and more rugged.
#stuckrecord

Was just chatting through plans for this weekend with my mate.
This segment is going to be the first run after we’ve landed, done our food shop and checked in to the accommodation. Starts about a mile from our digs - we’re staying in Finestrat.
Nothing like jumping in at the deep end!!! Despite being a few miles from the sea, this peak is taller than Ben Nevis.
That’s spicy!
31% average gradient!

Looks like a nice short VK (by short I mean steep)
The leader on the route did it in 39:04
Just over 12m/km pace
I look forward to hearing how it goes
I know, it’s insane!
My lot did it in a range of 53 to 75 mins when they went there last time in 2018.
I don’t think any of us are in particularly decent form at the mo for one reason or another. So I’d say anything under an hour will be good going.
It’s bonkers how people run uphill that quickly!
This popped up on my FB the other day. It’s not actual routes but some analysis someone did on the best routes to achieve the Gold 60mile medal in Escape from Meriden.
I’ve been following it since I bumped into a lad from the Tri club one Saturday morning whilst running. He was walking the opposite direction having run all night to get the Silver medal distance (I think) and was now walking home.
The website is worth a read too:
I am scared of the dark, can I bring a little friend?
You can bring your teddy bear
Entires opened today at 12
Had lunch with my son and persuaded him to enter with me at 12.45

If you join the race organisers Facebook group there are always people trying to sell their places in the month or two leading up to the event:
