Trail & Ultra Running Thread

They just did that last week. It’s a beast of a route. But much more manageable over 3 days.

I don’t plan to in the immediate future. If I was going to give it a go I’d get Justin to go all in to guide me for a sub 24 attempt. He did it last year on the 2nd or 3rd time of trying. It’s brutal.

My mate who did the Bob Graham when asked by me whether he was going to do the PBR said he thought that one was beyond him and too tough

Folks doing the Bob with a paid guide don’t qualify as members any more

Oh right, I thought I was looking at 2025 but not have been. Was it a success for him?

Looking at that Salt Settlers also.

Yeah, it was just one big jolly. He gets to play in the mountains for 3 days, and had a good, strong group of 3 or 4 or so. Perfect! :joy:

I wouldn’t go that far! :joy:

Just got back from supporting mates at the lakeland 100/50 - most of last night and this morning it was absolutely chucking it down, but soon got hot and sunny - Saw first and second females ( Robyn and Lucy) making it look very easy - its going to be a long night for some of them , but great to see so much determination.

Saturday night ultra party fest

Might also book myself in for the Thursday night as well - realised from our trip to Woolacombe that it is a hell of a drive from Manchester - a 6 hr drive on the Friday followed by a Friday evening start might not be the best prep

Sea to Sky Ultra this weekend - 53km from Barmouth including a trip up Cadair Idris

Well I’ve booked the full Flex which you can cancel up until 1pm the same day

I watched a S2S film last night, looks good. Hadn’t realised you were in

Ooh - which one - haven’t seen any yet

Was supposed to do it with Mrs T but she had to pull ou, switched the entry to Jack but his knee is still playing up

Hopefully a bit cooler for you this weekend @tunster :crossed_fingers:t2:

@gingerbongo , I was looking at the NC110 site and hadn’t realised there is a 65km option this year.

Yes he’s trying it out as a bit of a pilot. Only recently decided. Good way to pick up the whole section of CP in parts. It’ll likely be very low numbers for first year. But easy enough to logistically as they go off with the 110milers.

Makes for a bit more atmosphere for the earliest start as well.

Don’t eat all the food at Barnstable. Given how late the coaches usually are @tunster and I will be hungry when we get there.
