he’s running away from his wife….
FB is pretty accurate, it’s a 24 hour race in 3 weeks time, pick your own route, measured as the crow flies rather than total mileage. As the race starts close to home every step will take me away from my wife
Check your bag for Airtags, if it’s like Adam’s bike, she’ll be completely clueless as to your location!
6 mile run

Almost back to normal post cough hopefully.
Few climbs in the mix: calves, heels feel great, in fact better than pre-injury. Been a bit lazy though with the exercises lately
Dreary day though - dreich as they say
Good to hear
Basically running at 5:40/km varying grade 0/2/3% walking breaks every so often.
Used my watch linked to Zwift. My watch had the distance and speeds all wrong, but Zwift has them almost perfectly right…
No training again for me
Puppy up at 0433 and I was too tired.
Then did an exam (passed it, second attempt) after work, so no time for exercise

Another reminder today that whilst my flat, cruising run pace and efficiency tends to come back quickly. The other elements like speed, speed endurance and hill strength definitely do not!
Wanted to do some sort of session today, though wasn’t really feeling it. Ended up with 3 x 1km with 3.00r between. Cranked up the pace on each km with a 3.28, 3.18, 3.09. Ragged.
Off out tonight. So I’ll class that as all my calories pre-burnt.
Mate injured so we s raped boxing and did some weights
Went back for swim sprints… still crap but less crap than last time !
Happy weekend
Good luck all racing
I hope you scrapped the boxing instead
very muddy trail run across the Mendips. Barbed wire fences, streams that were rivers and about 100 stiles. Felt like a tough mudder
35km, 5hrs15, 600 mtrs vert.
Good sesh that.
I think it was but I was amazed how slow the going was. Time on feet and all that.
Odd day at work, so did a steady 6.5km on the treadmill in the middle of the afternoon.
1.5% incline. 11.5kph pace.
I did a slightly hard effort from Marpool Hill to Bradham lane on the old railway path this morning, cos Maryka was claiming she was faster than me, turns out I’m 10th overall, and you’re nowhere in the top 10… I wasn’t even trying, just going fast enough to make sure I beat a late 40’s woman who’s on 400km for the year running.
An hour on the treadmill in the gym so that I could then do 15 mins in the sauna Namibia prep
Building my time in the sauna - 2 weeks to go
Track session at the velo park.
No watches, no phones allowed. I had a great time, but as it’s not recorded or on Strava… I’m not sure it happened Am I even real?
