Oh yes he did
What part were you to play?
See the belated Christmas thread!
Yep Iām hoping that they donāt cause me an injury. Thereās so many different ways to do the movement, Iām thinking of experimenting with staying low after the jump and going straight into the next burpee rather than jumping, pausing and then lowering again. Maybe that would help cushion the back from the impact of the jump?
Initially I was thinking that a 2 metre jump was far too optimistic for my short legs to manage, but Iāve worked out that 1 metre is really quite easy, plus on every burpee your hands go down one foot length from your feet and also presumably you can step back up a few centimetres through your arms. All that and a bit of jumping practice should get me close to 2 metres. The 80 metres is split up into 4x20 I think, so it would be nice to only have 10 burpees before getting a brief respite during the turn around.
60 metre simulated sled push
1000 metre row
50 lunges with 15Kg weight
60 plus 30 wall balls
I watched a video recently about the burpee broad jump times in two seoerate events, the average was 1 min between the two, 4:30 and 3:40 I think
The slower race the judges insisted that you put your hands very close to your feet when you went down to put your chest on the floor, hence not gaining any extra distance
I think your better easing off the run going into them and having planned stops for a certain amount of time, there horrible either way
Good luck !
Duckerty duckin duck!
Back at it with a two hour static bike ( had two good results for hour efforts in the last week )
Two bottles one with 3 scoops of TW lemon ! Yuck but got it free, one with a lemon salt tab.
You know whatās coming nextā¦ got them mixed up and literally came to a standstill at 91 mins, realised the dramatic bonk straight away and swigged the other bottle straight away, hole was too deep and limped gone got the last 20 mins.
Ended up 5% ish off target so hey ho, put that one down to experience ! ( helmut)
In the gym at 05:30. Minus 4 in there.

Crap ride at Staffs (2:53!) crap ride at Cotswolds (2:32), too.
Crap rides in Mallorca.
Crap Summer Solstice ride.
Not ridden over 150km this year in one go
Iāve probably broke 200 hours, which is more than 30 minutes exercise per day.
It was just all in April, May and June
I reckon Iāve ridden las than 400km this year. That used be less than a monthās worth!
Iāve been so on and off lately, Iām just lurching my way to the 51km race on Dec 27th, then Iāll draw a line under this year and start again.
Back on the boxing bag yesterday
Flying solo as the other two had commitments.
30 on 30 off for an hour
First swim for 3 weeks straight after it wasnāt pretty but went ok with a mixture of bs and fc.
Just maintaining and ready to ramp it up a touch in the new year.
Press ups still on target for this year !
You are running really well off that limited run training. 18m30 5km etc. Do you think the cycling is carrying you over?
Canāt wait to see you engage beast mode again
Dunno
That was the week before Cotswolds, so Iād done a good six week block.
I barely did anything in March/April, as I finished one client and went straight to a brand new one, where I knew nothing, so it was āhardā work-wise.
I got to the end of April and crammed in a week of riding for Mallorca, mainly at 32kmh for two hours every day for a week. Then ārodeā over there, but each day was really 4 x 25-30km rides with all the stopping we did
I have no idea where the running comes from
I did about three months training after doing naff all for five years and ran a 1:20 half marathon, too
I didnāt run over an hour until race day. LOL.
I just reckon itās āin thereā somewhere.
That 18:30 was a good little race and I pushed myself a fair bit, as my wife and daughter came to watch and I wanted Top 3 (got sixth place)
Nice 11K trot at the walkway, cold but dry and no wind.
The track had a thin layer of snow and frost but was surprisingly grippy, probably the gravel base.
Used to be a railway line so generally good drainage and level.
18km run with the dog
First 2.5km on ice rink like conditions along the canal towpath
Then it started raining. Weather app says feeling like -1. Felt colder either the rain.
Soaked head to toe 400m from home when a car drove through a big puddle next to us
Neither the dog or myself impressed with that - w@%kers
Running circuit today
One hour with lots of lunges knee to floor walking, run bit seemed quite good, still a touch bulky on the top half but itās winter !
Swam 30 mins again 1 l bs 1 l fc quite fast ( fir me!)
300 press-ups ( in tens ) in 17 mins ish to finish the week
11.5 hours total, after 7.5 last week and FOUR the killer flu week.
Merry Xmas everyone x
