Training - What Training?!

They were all higher C and B today :face_vomiting:
I find that 2.4W/kg is my ā€œphone playingā€ limit.
Any higher than that and I have to concentrate to keep the pack.

But yeah, Castle to Castle is my next ā€œadventureā€ with them. Knowing my luck, Iā€™ll miss the start and end up doing close to 50km for the badge :joy:
Makuri 40, too.

Yeah - I did that for one ride.
I did manage 25 x 4km Volcano loops in one sitting for the badge (in my defence, it was Stay At Home blah blah blah, so there was that)

I did that badge, it wasnā€™t so bad. PRL on a TT bike was much worse.

Off Topic - Statue Photos

Seen more in the ā€˜DIY & Gardeningā€™ thread, weā€™ve had this since 2009 & it has ā€˜agedā€™ well. :sunglasses:

It is actually hollow, so isnā€™t as heavy as it might look.

I wanted to get a much bigger one, but it was really solid and stupidly heavy.

To the point where I would have needed to crane it over the house to get it in! :astonished:

It also looks good when it snows. :santa:

Cheers, Paul.

Now the kids are finally back into school, Iā€™m hoping to get into some sort of a routine.

So into zwift today for a 4x3min VO2 session. Tasty little number, but glad I did it. Time to start toughening up again.

Back to gym and running for me now.
Monday, Tuesday both double days, today was a go at the 2km row challenge. 2km jog to the gym. 2km on the erg row in 7mins flat. Sprinted out the back a little earlier at 500m and died off a touch. Lungs a bit burnie. 4km jog home.

Did my first weights session for a couple of months. Dropped the weight down a fair bit naturally. Felt ok in terms of the weight but my quads and hamstrings were not at all happy. Never felt like that before, felt stiff and tired and I put the spotter bars in half way through as I thought they were going to go on strike at one point.

Hopefully they will get over it in a couple of days, think after a few sessions I can check some more weight on and get back to where I was quite quick

Cleaned my gravel bike.
Made a mini-full English for lunch (no sausage or beans)
Finished the bathroom decorating.
Swapped some bike bits around.
Jumped on Zwift for my second ride of the day.

Only an easy 19km tick-tocking them off in 30mins.

Iā€™m 444km into my ā€œPostā€ Festive500.
Doing virtual rides makes it an utter piece of pie :pie::cake:

Iā€™ve kept myself on a nice 50:50 split :+1:t3:

Club ride is 56km tomorrow evening, to force me out :joy:
Although Iā€™ll probably Zwift early doors, too.

Friend lives in Pembrokeshire and said he went out for one ride that took him 3 hrs to do 56k due to wind, he does 40kph on Tempus Fugit! He said it makes the 500 too easy online
