No idea where they’ve gone. I even had a look through the box at the pool as assumed I must have left them there last week.

Was due a new pair anyway, sadly they will arrive in time for me not to have an excuse not to swim at the weekend instead :smile:

All nice and steady. Row in just over 4 minutes. Runs at about 4mins30 at the fastest. Push was just on one of those non-motorised treadmills that you can put on a heavy resistance and lean into as if pushing the end of the mill.

Was a bit tough on the quads with the lunges and squats and throwing that ball in the air swiftly fatigues the shoulders.

Gotta make some swift progress…

After 15 mins of faffing about just sat there all kitted up on my bike trying to work out what i fancied i finally just chose one and got on with it!

Turned out to be an enjoyable session; Norseman:Vasstulan on Zwift. Good mix of above threshold work, and then i swapped the cool down for 8mins @ roughly (current estimated) IM power in TT position. Still not comfy in my position. Saddle is definitely wrong in itself, or at the very least in positioning. Feet were a bit numb at the end as well. So guessing cleat or position issue there.

Really need to find the time to go get this fit. Sooner will be better than later, as i’ll likely spend an increasing amount of time on the turbo in the next 6 months.

My TT bike feels totally different on Zwift, when I take it out on the road, it’s perfect, but there’s something not quite right when I am indoors???

So, could be that for you?

Yeah could be. I mean i only rode my TT bike outside maybe 3 times last year, so it’s hard to tell!

Swim 1000m at lunch

750m before I caught the lane rope and ripped my watch off. Wrist still has the marks! 250m with the watch in my hat but it didn’t record anything.

About 600 wu then started some progressive PB 50s.

Two sessions today

30 min bike @157 bpm av
1 min rest
20 min run @157 bpm av
Bike was 5% down on what I thought, run was nearly 10% up, so not all bad. ( dinner time )

2 hour turbo
1 min sat up 3 mins tt
Repeat till 1:45 then warm down.
Av hr 126 so no real effort there.

Worked 8-6 in a Nick totally locked down today too, very very stressful as the cranks were literally setting themselves on fire, never actually seen that one before … helmuts!
So quite proud of my motivation after a shocking day.

Two guys from our gym doing he doubles in Glasgow? Next month.

Both very muscular big guys, they were wrecking there sessions trying to run far too fast for there ability/ size.
There both good/ very good at the exercises except the burpee jumps.

I’m not sure I understand this - what was the purpose?

Weight loss / holding tt position/ listening to music / escape my mad world ( the last ones probably the most important)

At 75 kg I’m too big to run fast, I go well when I make the easy really easy and the hard really hard.

Hopeful and motivated fit this year tri wise, but obviously realise I’m ancient.

Rowing, 2x2k, 1x0.5k.
3 supersets for each exercises:
Calf raises / side planks
Military presses / ab cycle
Press Ups / ab crunches

I want to give the Hyrox doubles thing a go with a guy from the gym. But I’m not going abroad or up to Scotland for it. Anyone have a rough clue when events are gonna be released for the rest of the year? Birmingham specifically? Think it was October at that venue last year.

Dates were out for 2022 early I the year 2022 sold out very quickly I think, I hear rumour there trying to make it bigger?!

If I hear about brum I’ll pass it on
