About 8.5 hours for me this week. 50K of running which is quite a big week for me these days, especially as most of it was on trails. Including a nice 15K run on a favourite route, which includes a brilliant 1.5k descent, only annoyance is the gate halfway down which is always closed.
Also about 155K on the Wattbike, mostly steady except for the TTT and a couple of efforts yesterday.
Had planned on doing a local fell race today but the tiny races yesterday made me realise I’d probably be tired, struggle, then get frustrated with myself.
Need to ease back for a few days for the 33K trail race next weekend.
Was Leon on here as well? I knew him from the Fellrunning forum. I’m surprised he’s still running - & running so well - he always seemed heavy on his feet, a runner who could batter through walls.
brilliant event and perfect day for it (even had to strip off on the start line and chuck my base layer to the side. Vest shorts and gloves were just right.
I love a good out and back like that as a bus of 6 of us went up all together. All PB’s and brilliant when you hit the turn around and get to see you friends. Would have been even better with a few more friendly TT’ers (if I didn’t assume you all looked like your Avatar pictures!)
16:46 out 16:01 back makes a good course as you get a little boost off the downhill return to counteract the inevitable 6-8 km fade of a 10k!
Course sounds great - probably Similar to my local 10km (5km up a bypass, net uphill, 5km back, net downhill and tailwind usually!)
Photos looked good from your club, too
Happy days. Legs felt good, went for a max effort 10k. Just under 4 mins(!!) off the PB down to 45min 30. These Saucony Speeds man, what a gift. Don’t want to run in anything else ever
Yeah I often got spotted in the parkrun reaults by friends and it’s not me😅
I sometimes think courses like that can be quicker than the pancake flat ‘fastest’ courses as at least varies things a little. Lincoln 10k in April is flat. Be interested to see if can better by then!
