following @Mungo2 's lead I went to the gym on the compound today and did a session of 10 stations alternating aerobic/weights or core. Each station 6 minutes and then straight onto the next one, for a 1 hour sess.

  1. hip ab/adductor machine. 30kg ab/ 20kg adds
  2. bike 300W
  3. squats with shoulder abduction, 5kg in each hand
  4. row 200W
  5. leg press 65kg * 100
  6. treadmill 17kmh
  7. I have completely forgotten
  8. step 250W
  9. plank, 2*2 mins with a lot of gurning
  10. recumbent bike 280W

running and riding a bike I’m used to but the other core stuff not so much. that’s why the weights are probably pretty light. even so, think maybe some aching in store tomorrow

Bike and run beat me for sure, weights are certainly respectable. It’s good to mix it up every so often.

I’ll be doing my run through in a few weeks then a long long real bike is the main target this year and some sprints.

Love that @gingerbongo.

I did a 45 minute spin class at lunch. Sweaty AF.

Been very tired last few weeks.

Think it’s a combination of age finally catching up, plus work being very draining right now.

Still been hitting my workout goals, but each workout is a struggle.

Decided to ease back a bit this week, so only 60 mins easy on the turbo yesterday and today.

Did some 100s in the “bath” yesterday and then a 4 mile progressive brick today.

GF is down for 4 days from Thursday, so will only doing a few workouts, whilst trying to get her to be able to swim 50m for her Virgin Cabin Crew training in 6 weeks time.
She currently can manage 8 lengths in 20 mins…

She’ll be IM ready by Easter, according to IMJ*.

*I have no idea what I’m talking about, here. I’ve never done an Ironman and never look at IMJ. Just trying to win jokes here, I’m afraid. :+1::+1::+1:

Climbing gym yesterday evening and 1hr hilly trail run this morning. Blue sky sunshine again and now we even have plus temperatures +1 degrees - spring has sprung I would say :tulip::tulip::tulip:

Also forgot to mention in my training: for the last four weeks I have two 5 liter water containers at the bottom / top of the stairs and every time I go up or down, I have to take at least one of the containers with me. Every little helps

Well, woke up at 4 not feeling great. Thought I’m just tired.

Gym at 4:30.

Rowing 4.5k hard, r:2:00, 0.5k flat out.
S&C, 3 sets each of: weighted bridges/sumo squats, military presses, sit ups.

Yeah, think I’m coming down with something. Gym at that time probably wasn’t a great idea.

what’s he been up to now?

Edit, checked and feel faint just thinking about it. Massive ride at high Watts and then a huge swim. Guy’s going to be fit as a butchers dog. When is race day?
