Noice! Although slightly dull
I had a near 80km loop at Knutsford of all LH turns (once 1km away from home) and roundabouts
It’s was basically every J course around the A50 at Cranage

No roundabouts
No traffic lights
No pedestrian crossings
No unexpected potholes ( I know them all personally)
I’ll take boredom with safety ( you only have to look on this small site to see what good people can lose riding there bike through no fault of there own)
13 loops is my record… love to break that one day !
I nearly always ride clockwise. Feels weird the other way.
Shattered but good track session this afternoon in the sun. 10 x 400m, 5@10k pace and 5@5k. Good to get a decent run in again with hot conditions (21) in prep for Barcelona 70.3.
Get this.
I used my road bike. Outside.
Still tired from swimming last night (and toddler vomming at midnight), so just a gentle spin.
13.5km. 32 minutes. 315m elevation.
Will try and run this afternoon. Nothing silly, probably a 5k or similar.
Did my first 100km of the year. Glorious weather and actually put my big boy pants on (again, that’s twice this week!) and hit the hills today.
Just under 105km with 1757m elevation. Happy with that. I feel like my fitness is starting to come on now with a bit of consistency in May.
Eta - now trying to dig brambles out of the concrete baked soil. My legs and back are not wanting to come to this party!
Beach day, surely!!!
Far too nice for gardening.
I love gardening in the sun. Tbh there’s a bit of a SE breeze, so the sea had a fair bit of a chop this morning.
Gala week in the local town, so we’ll pop there later.
18k jog after helping at the parkrun.
Would like to swim later but probably going out somewhere with the GF
Outside ride up to 80 kms ish today.
28 mm tyres make a world of difference.
2:39 so 30 kph ish, av hr 148. Un clipped twice and any minor stops kept the clock running…
Hot on that hill today.
I rode my bike again, a whole 41 minutes for 22km, sadly I had to put my foot down once on a sort of right turn at the legos due to cars, and thus failed to make it a worthwhile ride apparently due to the stopped time. 206 AP 217 NP - but still much better than my earlier two rides since september where it was something like 160 AP…
My garmin thinks I’m awesome apparently, despite an effort that was about the same as parkrun in PE terms, but 'cos that only got me a 140 heart rate, it thinks I’m great as if I managed my 160 threshold…
Well, at least you got out
I’m suffering from a case of CBA
Not helped by Spooners 24hr Zwift or a mates FKT 19hr Lakeland 300km MTB route
EDIT; I got off my arse and went out on the gravel bike for 20km …
(Still MILES of the Top 10 like )
Boom
Early bird
Sat - 1500m with Pete Wilby group of Teignmouth, drafting skills and ended up being big wave practice as it was bouncing in. Lost a brand new pair of goggles as got smashed swimming back towards the beach. Good fun!
This morning - Neglected my running a little bit over the last few weeks so felt the need to get a decent run in. 10M along the estuary path with 2 blocks at HM Pace.
Suppose I better up the anti - I’d entered London Olympic Plus and it’s just been rebranded as Challenge and looks like they have done away with the Oly + and replaced it with a middle? Ah well all good fun!
Yeah if it didn’t happen early, I don’t think it would have happened. Calf held up but the pace was kept unbelievably slow.
Nutrition strategy was pure science. One bottle water, one with half a sachet of Mountain and two of Mum’s home made rock cakes
50min trail run, easy but sweaty. Sun is pretty strong already.
Found the remnants of the previous civilisation in the woods.
