Training - What Training?!

Nothing yet but planning a hike with LO later on.

My judgement of the worthwhileness of ride is purely by your definition

These days, my only barometer of “worthwhileness” is;

  1. Did I enjoy myself?

As the elapsed Vs moving time delta increases, my enjoyment dips.

Cafe stops give me jelly legs afterwards.
The coffee is generally crap.
And expensive.
I don’t like cake. Or ice cream.
I’m always cold after stopping, even when it’s 26°C :woman_shrugging:t4:

First sleep over 8h in ages, but still not feeling right so the Garmin is off today.

Garden work, picnic food and hammock is the plan for today.

More gym madness
AM Trained with a few folk who are competing soon ish so lots of sleds, walking lunges, release press ups etc.

PM Went back and got after it, 337 burpees in 45 mins, ( chest to the floor with a token jump) sets of ten hr only 149 so not maxed out, still hard work though… I’ll be looking to improve this.

45mins cycle.
2hr drive.
2hr boat trip (inc waiting)
2hrs queuing/waiting/finding somewhere for food and eating it.
1hr walk back to car.
2hr drive home :joy::roll_eyes:

Took my swimming kit.
But ran out of time :joy::woman_shrugging:t4:

Completely different place on a warm day :hot_face::face_with_peeking_eye:

What a superstar!

Spent all afternoon eating good, rich food and consuming waaay too much beer, wine, prosecco, whatever we could find after we had 2 x families over after the run. Was an ace afternoon though.

Today was a bit of a hangover with a national trust visit and some coast path kms topped up with cake, ice cream and a visit to the Colonel on the way home! Topping off a pretty low week last week, that was itself rescued by a good 100km ride on Sat.

Need to pick things up again this week. Be a hit healthier, get some good sessions in.

6.2km jog.
Easy. Bit warm and windy.

Yesterday was squats and a very thrashy 17km run (for me at the moment due to very reduced running volume at the moment) at 4:27s would have kept on going but a popped zoom pod was causing knee pain. Why run, needed some thinking and digest/process time. Cycling just doesn’t have that effect for me.

Your LO is such a cutie, but a strong cutie :muscle: :star_struck:

Still not wearing a watch when running, but I did a 1hr 15mins very hilly trail run this morning. Might have to start wearing a watch again soon. Not really interested in the kms, but I am curious about the meters vertical we did today.

Thanks Anna. She is like an egg, incredibly resilient in some aspects of her life and could do with some confidence in others.

Re the watch, couldn’t you record vert your phone?

I usually run without a phone :blush:

Yesterday I was out in the eve, very unusual for me but when it’s trisuit weather (in Scotland that’s not very often) I’m there, I’m hyper, and I’m training.

2 x hill reps on bike in big gear, about 35 mins each with 7 min descents.

Lovely views from top of radar station.
