It’s all relative. Nearly everyone has someone that makes them feel crap and slow! I’ve got a good ex-clubmate that i’m going to train with this year who can cruise up hills without breaking a sweat at a pace that’s burning me out on the flat!

113km 1,300m hilly ride.
Shame I abandoned due to the fog on the tops.
But I made up for it with an hour at 220W on the flat.

I also noticed that I don’t need to be that quick up hills. If I take them within my zone, I can descend well enough (for a triathlon) and then perform to my watts on the flat.

IMUK has flat bits, right?

I believe transition might be :rofl:

As my mate says for all his trail events (all very hilly) … “You’ll be fine, it’s flat on the flat bits”.

Wattbike scheduled this morning. Not happening, fcuking pile decided to say hello.

Bit annoyed as I’m off today and don’t usually get to train on a Friday.

24hrs rest now, until some riding over the weekend. Taking the day off commuting. I feel like I need it.

Numbers all trending upwards. If I’d kept my run up even remotely, overall CTL might be somewhere near respectable! Doubt I’d be able to bike as much if I was also running however. And I’m confident the run will come back fairly fast

15.5km gym bike
5km outdoor run

Back to back.
All done before 9am
