Training - What Training?!

Sounds like you need a 3L camelback?

That ride sounds awesome :grinning:

I was thinking more down the lines of one of those water bowser trailers :joy:

I’ve just done an easyish 10km run taking walk breaks as per iM race day. Smashed 700mls of water with three scoops of Tailwind - downed a pint of water when I got in and I’m still feeling parched

I can’t deny, I thought similar :face_vomiting:

Although I adore that it’s the nutrition of choice by someone who is so analytical of training and racing methodologies :grinning:

Fuel the workout! :facepunch:

10km lumpy run first thing. Felt low on energy and high on hayfever.

Anyway. 10.10km. 129m elevation. 42 minutes.

92% of Wales elevation (7441ft) in 86 miles (Mam Tor was the middle climb). I’ve reached confidence level ā€œI’ll definitely get roundā€ now, so will just keep the hills coming over the next couple of months. Really enjoyed this ride as the weather wasn’t too hot compared to last couple of weekends.

Just a 90min run, try some gels….maybe some flat loops round the park first…maybe home after the park instead…by bus.

53mins lost 2kg.

Edit 1.6kg to be precise.

13 hours this week with two complete rest days!

Not done that fir a long time, some faster fatigued running, a full distance swim and improvements in push and pull power were the highlights small steps as they say

Vodka consumption and sleeping pattern … not so much.

When you say Mam Tor, Mam Nick from Barber Booth, or Winnats Pass?

100km 1,300m elevation in 4hrs for me.
Utterly grim :face_vomiting:
Loads of stops, as I died about four times.

Brickworks. It’s goes up the old brick works.
Long Hill. It’s effing long.
Goyt Valley. It’s up out of the Goyt Valley.
Macc Forest. Erm, yeah…think this one has an actual name

Barber Booth, not sure I’d get up Winnats yet. I went down into Goyt twice and out via Derbyshire Bridge, one of my fav climbs (plus was only 0.1mph less than my top speed pb going down from Long Hill into Goyt). Did the Brickworks downhill on way home at the end. Great cycling playground :+1:

And you didn’t see me!!!

Yeah, Goyt is stunning :heart_eyes::ok_hand:t4:
But a shame people were ignoring the ROAD CLOSED sign and driving up it (we didn’t let them past!) :joy::joy::joy:

Top ride for you then :ok_hand:t4::white_check_mark:

I managed 78.5kmh coming down the Cat to Macc Forest, a guy I was riding with came past me and said he got 97.6kmh🤯

Had 2mins at 60kmh :ok_hand:t4::white_check_mark:
I’m getting okay at this descending lark
