Gym this morning, while I wait for the physio to tell me what’s wrong with my hamstring.

3 sets each of calf raises, military presses, hammer curls, sit ups.
Heavy few days for me.
Thursday - Medium SST Zwift workout, straight into a mixed gym session
Friday - Deadlifts in the morning, Erg and run session in the evening 1.6km run, 1km bike, 500m ski, 1.2km run, repeat the bike and ski, then 800m run, bike and ski, 400m run, bike and ski. Done in 36 mins.
Saturday - Gym summer party, 3 heavy sessions. Then too much wine in the sun and a very late night. But was an epic day with friends!
Sunday - After about 2 hours sleep I literally had to drag my very tired sorry arse out the door to get a long ride in. The will to turn around early was strong especially with the 30kph head and cross wind! Decided it was probably good TCR practice. 165km to Stonehenge and back including across Salisbury plains.
Monday - Some 3x6 of 60kg front squats and 50kg bench press plus some bits.

Ah man, whoever scheduled the kids ‘race for life’ today didn’t do me any favours. I managed two laps of the school field with the kids. Very slow bike commute too. Garmin saying ‘productive’ with 78 hours of recovery
finished work and straight down to the cycling track. not windy tonight, and the car park is pretty full
There is even a cafe showing TDF highlights on a screen outside. But no Fossies, and the commentary appears to be in Arabic
edit: 6 degrees cooler than Saturday evening, much nicer experience, +29W for exactly the same average HR
My training spreadsheet has been a bit empty the last week or two, I had planned an easy week before the first race and then had a few days enforced rest, but still a bit frustrated I didn’t get at least bike ride in on Saturday.
Anyway, back on it tonight with a hard TT on tempus fugit, the 18K course in just under 25 minutes with an AP of 299W! Felt hard though.
Trying to get on with some hamstring rehab and might try a couple of easy jogs on the dreadmill or round the park, and some swimming.
@Adam, saw you cycle to work yesterday and thought…. That must be sore.
Anyway, gym again this morning.

1 mile swim, got kicked out of empty lane towards the end for the swimming club, who have now changed their days from MThF to MTuTh ooooooooooops.
I know that I need to get outside again, but I just know that my local place will be about 4 degrees, and at the moment I’m just not feeling (hu)man enough
An hour on Zwift including 15minutes of a 45 minute race. It’s a start.
30kms ride home. Felt like every driver was out to get me.
Haven’t done anything except S&C since Saturday.

Yeah today I have. Monday I was fine just the usual aches etc but by lunchtime yesterday I was done for. Scraped myself through the day. Slept from around 5 last night until now

Felt a bit sluggish myself and I’ve been snotty, need to keep an eye on things now I’m back with the work stresses etc., been pretty full on as usual.
Another day off in bed for me.
Feeling better but my stomach is all over the place. No idea if it was the lake or a bug but I should be good tomorrow
