Training - What Training?!

I did a few runs using the back pocket of long shorts but it’s quite distracting and with keys my ass was starting to hang out.

I’ve gone with my existing arm band today, but wearing it on my forearm so that I’m not bleeding at the end.

2h14 without water is okay during the run but isn’t great. I felt dehydrated all day no matter how much I drink.

Feeling flat all week. Today equally rubbish.

I’ve also been feeling flat. Illness coinciding with my holiday. Ambitious plan has morphed into a easy runs. My plan was to go full pelt at parkrun tomorrow but I don’t think that’ll happen. I ran an out and back 10k this morning, lazy feet caused me to hit the deck and at turnaround I stood around for ages. Fun running through the giant corn

2 nice evenings in one week - couldn’t resist another go up Winter Hill - brought Mrs T this time

Practising for a spot of running in Chamonix in a few weeks - Mrs T’s first time with poles - using them like a pro

Ordered pizza on the way home and currently smashing a bottle of Rose like a pair of pro’s as well

If Carlsberg did Friday nights etc……

Love WH, remember running the fell race back in 2010/2011 when all paths were like skating rinks. Fabulous views from up there

Are the tips of those poles off of the ground? They look a bit long for her to me but it might be the pic.

27 small hill reps ran - this shit Autumnal weather will not beat me into submission

Got my first and last long run done today. Legs are miraculously feeling good. Thought I’d be in pieces having not really done much over 20km this year. But I’m feeling good. :+1:

Ran my IM test circuit 4 times with the ‘commute’ to the loop plus some extra at the end. Ran a strict 160-165bpm cap up the hills for first 2 loops and then let that drift to 165-170 for loops 3 and 4. Rest of the running (descents and rollers) was done on RPE with an eye on HR. Tried keeping effort the same, but just let pace be whatever it wanted to be.

Legs tightening a tad at around 30km, but perfectly manageable. Honestly really shocked at how strong the legs were. Especially on the back of a record rolling 7 day load of 15.5hrs (including this run).

Best thing of all. No carbon involved at all. Raceday VFs and the power of the crowd still to come! :joy:

Stats below for anyone interested.

I’ve sent that to a few of my “ hyrox” friends

He asked if it was with planned stops were you paused the watch?!
Another one to reply said ( and she was being serious) does he use peds?
Lol.

5 min kms is a 3:30 marathon IF you come off the bike in any sort of shape you will be running past 100”s great run and I like many on here will be tracking you !

New build roadie test ride.

Good job I tested the brakes a couple of times as a driver tried to take me out five minutes later. New bike proved its nimbleness and I skidded/swerved around the car turning in front of me. Cunt didn’t stop of course.

Anyhoo, got a decent workout done outside:

Should be good for my first club ride in maybe five years tomorrow.

Handle bars look abit upright though.

Not unless you count half a bottle of wine and a pizza last night! :joy:

It’s all horses for courses though isn’t it. I couldn’t chuck a heavy ball at a wall for 10 mins straight like that crowd do.

It’s only 6 kilos! And I’m hoping for around half that time in Jan.

It’s only that wall balls are dead last and your smashed to pieces when you start that makes them very difficult.

Your a brill runner no doubts, ride safe tomorrow
