Take lunchtime breaks everyday, swim bike or run. Tuck everyone else.

Double post.

Up very early, in the gym for 4:30.

Rowing, 3k, 0.5k.
2 sets each of donkey kicks, banded clamshells, banded bridges, kettlebell sumo squats, calf raises.

Will try and swim tonight, but it might be a long day!

Went for a run this morning with Mrs FT. I had heard that about 8km.from our house is a camel bridge over the motorway & always wanted to run over it. So this morning we drove 5km in that direction, parked, ran along the side of the road to the camel bridge, crossed it, and ran back on the other side.

The bridge was very impressive, it had three different lanes. One was normal grey asphalt for pedestrians. One was green rubberised asphalt for cyclists. And the central lane was sand for camels.

edit: part 2, went to the gym to work on rehab of the shoulder injured falling from bike last month. Definite progress, can now abduct straight arm with 3kg. However, I did feel a bit like Walter to the Dennis of this massive guy who came up and started doing bicep curls with 32kg dumbbells

I think it would be a stretch to call it training, but i did my first bit of activity in over a week (the lethargy and CBA is very strong in me at the moment, on top of busy work stuff going on).

We’ve bought a winter membership to the local caravan park, so access to their swimming pool, steam room, sauna and tiny gym. Plan is mainly to take the kids every week, but Mrs GB and i popped out for a lunchtime swim followed by some sauna therapy. Working on that brown fat, with cold showers after.

Had to breaststroke for the 30 mins i was ‘proper’ swimming as it was full of old grannies and mummy/baby types bobbing about. Think the pool is maybe just under 20m. Need to find a time when it’s really dead. Mrs GB said there was only one other person in the pool yesterday. So maybe more people are off on a Fri?

It’s not going to get me in great shape. But nice to do somethign a bit different.

Similar to Jeff’s advice.

Fall off a bike before you have chance to put your arms out, land directly on your shoulder blade.

This is a great way to get an achey shoulder.

27km timed in 3hr16 and a 1km walk home. Was meant to be 35km but cut it short. Can’t imagine why, nothing bad happened at all! :man_facepalming:
