30min spin this morning.
Work.
Then an abysmal jog. 9.3km in 57mins :face_with_symbols_over_mouth::woman_shrugging:t4:

Felt weird after about 200m, carried on thinking I’d feel better. I did not. Got a bit light headed and sort of wobbled home.

One of those runs where it probably would’ve been better staying at home :face_with_peeking_eye::roll_eyes:

Pushed a bit too hard at swimming last night, with a seriously quick lad in my lane.

30 minute spin class at lunch.

Il swim again tonight.

Similar for me, a complete chore but enjoyed the scenery.

Whilst I was dodging the last of the Easter break folks around Styal Mill and The Carrs :face_with_symbols_over_mouth::sob:

EDIT: after the run disaster last night, did a 1.5km swim as 5 x 300m :white_check_mark:
Like a wave machine with the kids club on :ocean::wave:

Yeh so kind of absolutely hated every minute of that swim last night and pulled the plug half way through :grimacing:. 140k bike ride with just shy of 2000m vert this morning to repent, though. Did the final 40k kind of IM pace, maybe nudging towards half IM

5 hours in the same spot, 2 more to go.

Chaperoning teenagers to a concert that wanted to queue up 7hrs before the doors open…

I’m calling it training. Or Ironman trained me for this day.

18km easy and a 1k walk home. Knee and back are happier but not completely so. Getting there though :crossed_fingers:

3 hour bike yesterday, but that headwind, along the top of the Dalveen pass, ooooooh, I was nearly crying, felt that I didn’t have anything in the tank.

Brick today : 1 hour bike up to the 2400ft golf ball followed by a run back up there. Again, that headwind was challenging - at least if there’s a vial headwind during ROC Wales I’ll be prepared and might not be crying as much

One aspect the the crap weather that we’ve had since what, maybe September October is that though it affects my mental health, and I do more whinging and moaning than cardio training, I do manage (to make the time for) shed loads of core and strength work, so a good positive I guess.

Good work @FatPom!

Gym first thing, little bit of rowing then a lot of S&C focusing on running imbalances.

Supposed to be 3 hrs with son and the dog.

Jack’s knee was giving him grief and by 10km he had to have a sit and stretch. Turned around to head home but his knee was getting worse so he bailed at 15km to get an Uber home.

The dog is now worn out so that is one job done

Gravel ride with power :heart_eyes::joy:
Just my Garmin only had the first three turns of the day on, map was right, but I missed a few turns.
Slow puncture needed tending to every hour to get back to a decent Bar.
Other than that, okay.

4hrs 17mins
102km
23.7km/h
203W NP
129bpm

Thanks Anna, slow and steady etc. Will try a run with the club tomorrow night, then I’m travelling for a couple of days, so I’ll see how things shake out

Commented elsewhere for you.
Nowt fancy.

Anyway, that’s 10 hours for me this week :white_check_mark:

3 swims
2 runs (would’ve done another, but felt weird after Friday’s jog)
A fair few easy cycles

That’s like, a proper week :exploding_head::man_in_lotus_position:t2:

Massively forgiving pregnant wife and I’ve snuck in 13 hours this week, capped off today with 20k undulating run. It was scorchio here, 27 degrees, ran with my top off, cleared the pavements in front of me at least.

211k cycling with 2.3k elevation.
32k running
6k swimming

Just over 9 hours for me this week but massively padded by 4 hours of actual outside riding! Just over 6 hours of cycling.

As a result running was low at barely 25K but did include a couple of quality sessions including the parkrun.

Swimming continues to be an afterthought but just about keeping my head above water :joy:

Managed to get out for 3 runs last week 2x 5km 1x 7.5km all trail with some long hills chucked in. Main focus at the moment is climbing, climbed x4 last week…so close to climbing my first 6C+…so close.

Going for a run today, will prob be an easy 5km trail run.
Edit: trail run today 7.5km 150 meters vert
