Training - What Training?!

Ah. That’s not structured training then.
Thats hero training.
Taper time now.
The big session is behind you.

I don’t think I can even swim at 2.24/100m pace. I’d sink :joy::see_no_evil:

Inspired by Bongo and absolutely nothing to do with being a cold weather fanny I also managed something resembling a training session!

2/2/1K with short breaks on the dreadmill, pace was somewhat more sedate though :joy: probably about my current 10K pace.

This was after wimping my bike ride outside as winter seems to have arrived. Was going to go in the garage but I CBA.

Queued up at the front door. Helmet on. Bike ready waiting for the Mrs to get back from her quick ride. Hoping I have time to squeeze 30 mins in before we depart on a 4hr drive.

I’ve gone all in. Could’ve (probably should’ve) done yoga and stretching with this limited time instead. But I’ve placed my bet and the chips are down.

And we wait…

… And I got out.

And found out what happens when you don’t ride your tt bike for almost a year.

What? You do 162km at 34kmh?

I went out on the road bike, 105km at 31kmh.
50% group, 50% solo.

Group riding is SLOW
People braking going down hill. Into bends. Being really slow uphill.
I took about 10km of that then just rode on the front :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Don’t think group riding is for me anymore :see_no_evil::joy:

Week 3 of “let’s get back to it” here. 7 hours, might even make 7.5 if I go for a swim later (no promises)

Ran 35km, biggest week since April. Unfortunately seem to have irritated hip by pushing a little too fast on the treadmill. Will back right off next week in terms of pace I think.

The weather’s only going to get cooler now so training hopefully should become a little less of a sweatfest

Phew, so you are still alive :face_exhaling::joy:

Thought you needed medical assistance in the hallway!

Got into a bit of a race with another (rare like unicorn) cyclist on the way home. Perhaps a bit stupidly as it was far too hot for any of that malarkey

Shudder, traumatised when people mention or are at La Flagere!

Sat in a tent at about 2am mumbling to some Italian bloke who spoke as much English as I do Italian both wishing the cable car was running to get back.

Then going outside and trying to be sick for a couple of minutes :joy:
