Training - What Training?!

Deffo a touch of over compensation ‘I’m fine’. No I’ll make dinner. Etc! :joy:

Nice and steady 7.5km treadmill run, sweating out the weekends sins.

Ended up chilling and dot watching on Saturday, went climbing Sunday and yesterday did a 5km hilly trail run in the morning and climbing in the evening. Nothing special or heroic, but slowly building fitness again. Feeling tired today, so no sport.
Oh and another thing. I’ve been slowly and randomly working on my hammer curls and I can now do 10 using the 7.5kg dumbbells :+1:

10km hilly trail run first thing, but not as early as @APM though  Stunning weather this morning, really lifted the spirits. The views were stunning, will take a picture next time.

Also found a car key on the trail and made the panicked owner very happy a few moments later :+1:

6km very easy road run. No calf or groin trouble but the pace was very low.

Nice FP, good to hear the injuries didn’t cause any trouble :+1:

Oh fucking ball sacks

Something’s going on with the front of my leg - upper quad area - tightened up last last run - like a bad cramp and I couldn’t run on it. I’ve given it a week, and just tried to jog again. Initially ok then same sort of cramping/ sore sensation.

Any clues as to what it is

Physio time?… I’ve been a bit stressed recently. Maybe just rest another week or so and see if settles down…?

Quad strain I’m
Guessing

This sounds really similar to what I was having in the summer when playing cricket. Down the front of the quads, would go really tight and painful as soon as I start running.

For me stretching, rest and a sports massage sorted it. The sports massge hurt like hell, my quads were extremely tight.

I’d definitely go with a massage first, easy to do yourself on the quads and around the hip.

Foam roller if you have one.

That’s kind of what I have been suffering with, except it’s the inner upper quad/groin area. Very bloody annoying!

16.5km run with Mrs T around Derwent Reservoirs - got up early and started the run at 7.30am (an hour from home)

Told her we were running the whole lot without any walking - met with a frosty reception that matched the 3 degrees start.

She did it though - 16 segments along the route - she got 6PB’s, 5 2nd’s and 4 3rd’s. Made up.

All on the back of a 15km yesterday (albeit v slow with daughter).

Recovery week for me 5 hrs 10 mins - 38km running included. Feeling good after NC110.

It’s so utterly pointless.

Every single AI product is, every tech company thought let’s put some AI into our product, even though it’s utterly shit, our VC tech bro people require it.

In the tech world, for now, AI’s brand could not be stronger: It’s associated with opportunity, potential, growth, and excitement. For everyone else, it’s becoming interchangeable with things that sort of suck.
