Training - What Training?!

Back to about 7 hours this week with slightly more cycling than running. Managed two short but fairly sharp Zwift races and a longer ride yesterday of 95 minutes.

Treadmill reps on Tuesday and the parkrun yesterday were decent sessions running wise. Was running out of time today so only did a 14K run on tarmac.

very decent run kilometerage @bbt67

here 10.5 km swim, 160 km bike, 28km run. Around 14 hours, biggest week this year but includes a fair bit of zone 0 with Mrs FT who has been off work on half term this week.

Also 4 games of squash, the sheer torture.

PS haven’t got any snowdrop pics

Hour long slow and very boring treadmill run yesterday.

Today, 30 minute spin class before work.

At lunch, 3k hard run then 15 minutes of weights.

Yeah, about 3-4hrs though. I didn’t even notice it until I was thinking of the post club run pint.

First bit of exercise since last Thursday - an easy 35 minute jog, really needed that!

:man_running: 2025•39a - 5km Easy Run 13:10

Purpose:

  • Light aerobic stimulus after 10km tempo yesterday, almost recovery, or at least not adding significant fatigue.
  • Increase blood flow to muscles, prepare for tomorrow’s key session.

:man_running: 2025•39b - 16km Extensive Endurance 16:45

Purpose:

  • Moderate to good aerobic stimulus, without adding significant fatigue
  • Easy session to enable a key (repetition) session tomorrow

The 5km was a banker session as alot of manual labour at work today, moving furniture. Wanted to get something done incase too tired after work for the 10 mile easy run. Did both in the end.
