Training - What Training?!

Forgive me father , for I have sinned :person_swimming:

First for 18 months beyond a hotel pool splash in Egypt. Limped my way through 1800m.

Combined with my first 7 hour week last week, and a 21km run and 84km bike, it could almost be mistaken for a comeback.

Hmm, Cotswolds smack down late entry  good news for the rest of us is that he’d clear the lake of aquatic predators in front of us.

Or get eaten :man_shrugging:t2::joy:

:person_biking: 1 hour 49min indoors on the bike. Grrrm, thought it was summer.

No running today, soaked in sweat, I’m not getting soaked in the April (June) showers as well.

Yesterday, 30 minute spin class.

Then swimming. 200/400/600/400/200, resting 1:00.
Set out at 1:30 pace. Settled into a more sedate 1:43.

Today, will do another 30 minute spin class.

Read a quote attributed to Sparta:

“What you spend in sweat in training, you will save in blood in war”

I probably should pay more attention.

Also apparently when some neighbouring warlord sent a message “I advise you to surrender immediately, if I send my army into your lands they will burn your farms and slay your people.”

Sparta sent a reply by messenger: “If.”

Went for a run with the dog around Winter Hill area - road closures due to IM Bolton made it a long time to get there

Biblical rain for first 40 minutes - felt sorry for out on their bike doing IM

Sun came out for last 10 mins

Nice taper run for SDW100 next weekend - could still feel a bit of tendonitis in my left knee on the downhills - hoping it will last 100 miles next week

Dog not happy with the rain
