65km ride in the Surrey Hills. Needed it after a carp couple of weeks at work. Felt surprisingly sprightly, even though I’m still carrying a few kgs of extra lumber. Was nice to get rained on, on the way home.
Tripped on roots twice, ass over tit covered in dirt and dust
Friday 6k easy run + 3 hours of light pogoing to Skids, Buzzcocks and The Stranglers
Saturday 16k easy run
Rested Friday, woke up after 6am
Parkrun Saturday.
It’s now actually raining. But not normal rain, like bullets descending from the sky. The noise of it woke me up!
Undecided if I’ll be a duck and jog around a bit. Only wanna do 48mins to get up to 7hrs.
Couldn’t have been more smug sat on the spin bike.
Anyway 30 minute spin class!
I went out for a jog.
49mins 9km
It’s fairly simple running that slowly
Caught a break on the rain.
Stumbled on 2 different triathlon bike courses today. Didn’t see any competitors but the marshals were trying to direct me.
So good… I can do two events at once
A rubbish 6 hours this week - work a bit full on
Snap
8 for me .. and I don’t even have a job
Doing houses up is over rated !
But there was a small painful comp in there somewere ?!
am 6k easy run
pm 30 min turbo
Two sessions today - club swim (2.2K) followed straight after by a hilly 6K run around Eastbourne. Should have done them the other way round as really struggled on the run.
After a week’s taper followed by a fortnight of holiday & a couple of races I’ve slipped back into my regular regime & hopefully fitness will continue upwards for a few weeks.
I don’t like work, but it does help me create a routine.
2 x runs again for me this week. Enjoying my Tuesday social, hilly trail runs with the boys again. Need to try my best to lock that in every week.
Just popped out for a run. Bit close to dinner but decided after a few hundred metres that I’d have a bit of an effort in the middle. Decided to go for a 5km and targeted 20 mins.
Ran a 3.55 then a 4. All solid. 3.54. OK this is feeling pretty decent. 3.50. Right let’s switch up and aim for 19.30. Pushed a 3.36 for a 19.25 total in the Novablasts. So probably a sub 19 in fast shoes with some competition. Pretty happy with that to be fair. Bit more mileage and that should start to drip slowly downwards. Though my calves are feeling pretty tight now.
Pretty bloody stuffy outside though. Can’t stop sweating right now.
Oh and do do 25 mins of S&C this morning.
Pretty poor week for me as well, felt tired every time I’ve tried something, possibly from last weekend, HRV has been up and down but don’t feel bad, RHR has been fairly normal.
1:45 running with the parkrun and a 2*2K all I had time for on Friday session
2:45 cycling, but it did include 3 harder efforts with the 10 & 25 TT’s
2 hours of swimming including the lake today
We’re heading southwards on Tuesday so won’t be a great deal of training before the race, will probably do a couple of easy runs and a parkrun, and hopefully find a pool to keep the arms turning over. And feel a bit better by the weekend!
Last run on the trails, head home tomorrow morning. Some parts a bit flooded from over night rain.
8km with 3km at 4:45 min/km pace (about HIM pace, Ill go out at 4:38 - 4:42 the weekend if no niggles)
Toe is almost better ()
Was going for a segment top 3 but…
1.Too much water and mud in places
2. I ran it in the wrong direction doh
Would have been top 10 in the correct direction… think it was 1.58km from memory
5.8km run this morning.
24:59. 85m elevation.
Weather looked ideal for a run this morning so hitched a lift with MrsF to her work and ran home from there. Just over 14 miles. Took it steady and it was most pleasant.
Just before I got home I was along the promenade close to where we live so stopped my watched - shoes and socks off and into the sea up to my waist for some cooling leg ‘recovery.’
Trained twice today.
30 minute spin class first thing.
Lunch, functional fitness.
3.5km treadmill run.
3 x bb bicep curls, db push press, kb deadlifts.
