Training - What Training?!

@Matthew_Spooner - Yes.
I think it’s the change in stride length, the micro-rest intervals and super small changes in pace help.

Surely wearing your headphones means it doesn’t matter though, Victor :sweat_smile:

Yeah, but March is generally the sh!ttest month these days, is it not? Remember 2 years ago.

Technically Spring is not until 20th March :face_with_monocle:

But every month has been the shittesty month since October!!!

Astronomical spring starts then, but meterological starts on 1st March

Yes, but that’s only because (as the Met Office have acknowledged) it makes it much easier to produce data using whole calendar months.

Also easier for my tiny brain

2 hours on the CX bike yesterday (road tyres).
I need to focus on maintaining efforts. I naturally back off if I’m not concentrating, and find my HR dropping off. So I just watched my HR on the Garmin. Tried to maintain above “cardio” zone. That’s easy going up hill, but on the flat is harder.

With their new multi billion pound computer, they can produce data for whatever the hell they want!

also, @gingerbongo - it’s pretty much just you lot that have rain, which I’m sure you can handle for your super summers down on the English Riviera.

I guess you live in the ‘rain shadow’ between Worcs & Lancashire :upside_down_face:

Yes, I know technically that wouldn’t work. Does Wales take the sting out of the Cheshire weather?

Haha! yes true … that’s why i zoomed the map over the South!! :rofl: it’s blimmin cold as well with the Northerlies.

Yep train wanker for me today. Couldn’t face more freezing rain on the way home two days in a row

It’s -1 to 3 degrees (feels like) up here, dry as a bone, blue skies and glorious sunshine.
Looking the same for tomorrow - forecast for -2 overnight up in Darwen (northern most tip of the IMUK course), if it isn’t too bad at mine by 9am, I’ll be riding over to do a loop :smiley:

Sick of running in mud. My lunch time run (runch?) is through woods that are at a jaunty angle, it’s normally really nice and I didn’t mind the mud at first but it’s so much more fatiguing.

I’ve actually taken the rare decision to avoid the trails at the moment, because you just can’t run on them, and that is very unlike me. My friends are the same. It’s really dull!

Strava update today that now has a direct link from Apple Watch to Stava

@Poet

Yeah, but now that has f00ked the link from Strava back to google drive, then push to Training peaks…

…so it’s a retrograde step, but taken to secure Strava data and their own APIs

Also with the update you’ll get the chance to have your Strava feed chronological :+1:

Thank f00k for that. I hate the random order everything comes in nowadays

Yes I’m v pleased with that.

Don’t have to see @JibberJim mass uploads now :wink:
