Training - What Training?!

You’re going to need a running buggy

No real training as such this week but the 3 races added up to about 15 hours which is good.

And a lot of walking.

Now getting DOMS though :grimacing:

But hopefully get out on the bike for a couple of hours tomorrow and need to get back into the pool quickly.

Back on the bike already after TCR, and feeling brilliant. After previous TCRs my HR has been all over the place and top on power really depressed. This morning Garmin gave me a VO2max upgrate to 63, HR is behaving totally normally, power is great, and feeling so strong riding around 5bpm betow treshold.

Overnight, my HRV is only a little bit depressed - after previous TCRs it was through the floor. No idea what I did differently - maybe raced too conservatively?

Just caught up with the thread (it’s been a while) - top work all

@Robin - your Tenby build looks solid, what are your aspirations for the day?

Last three weeks, oldest to most recent 11h 17m, 11h 9m, 11h 8m.

Consistent but a real challenge to do any more.

That Tuesday bike is titled incorrectly, I name my sessions the overall duration / time in zone, should have been TE120/60 an hour of tempo in 2 hours.

Best sessions were the 16km run and the 3h48m ride Sunday.

How much time off for recovery have you taken?

I managed 6 days off, 3 days in Kalamata then back to Switzerland via Bus, Boat and Train

Thank you. Just to get round is aim number 1. I’m hoping time-wise I’ll be somewhere in 12-13hrs, but things could be difficult on the day. My guess for timings is: 1h20 swim, 10min T1. 6h30 bike, 5min T2, then 4-4.30 run. Which would take me to 12-12.30 or so.

I’ll find out on the day.

Gym last few days, too hot for anything else.

Run. Normally takes a bit under an hour, took 1:10. Lost 1.75kg in that time which is, if I do say so myself, a pretty solid sweat rate!

Managed to grind out 3 hours on the bike today but it was a struggle, was getting pretty thirsty and despite being 20 minutes from home I saw a village shop open and bought 2 cans of pop that helped.

Also managed two 35 minute swims.

45 minute low and slow run, still confined to the treadmill.

Humid AF.

Crap road run, didn’t enjoy it. Easy enough, but It felt like my face has been crisped by a hair dryer… not pleasant.
