Rest up
Lucky one …?!
overall I’d say so, vegetation even if scratchy breaks less bone than tarmac in my experience
Yep had my worst off last year, sharpest stone n the world straight through front tyre … I went back and found it!
Loads of rash but nothing broken.
A few hot baths helped me … rest up
Short ride this morning at possibly the windiest/wettest part of the whole day. I lasted a whole hour.
Off to the gym in a bit with the wife for some strength and core.
Get better soon, you do sound lucky given the alternative…
I went out on TT bike an hour or so ago, only a few seconds from my house, fiddling with computer while I recalibrated power meter, looked up just in time to swear as I saw a horse coming full pelt without its rider down the road towards me. Swore, swerved left, and it galloped past. To be fair, it was obeying better lane discipline than some of those i see being ridden round here! Fine margins with these things- glad I was on bullhorns fiddling with computer rather down on the aero bars at the time.
I saw the rider round the corner, think she was leading horse rather than on it, getting into a car so she could go chase it…she seemed ok.
You do start to sense that aerobars and the average British road aren’t really a match made in heaven don’t you?
ouch, rest up mate.
Remembered who my arm looks like it’s based on now, Johnny Hoogerland
Managed to get out for a 3 hour windy slog on the bike, then did another 30 minutes on the Wattbike, which worked out to be about 108k in total.
Heal strong!
Is the bike ok?
fortunately, yes, landed on my left so saved all of the drivetrain, just had to square the bars up and get the mud off. Took me over 30 seconds to pause the Garmin though which is poor
52 miles on the bike this morning… beautiful day out there.
5km family trail run/walk. 41:47
Easy up the Alpe.
Another 36km of climbing to go for the Tron bike. Need to do 3 Alpes/week to get it before new year.
10km with Mrs T and Oska the dog - easy pace - first run after last weekends 100m - everything in working order
Another week of nothing.
Just started this week with a 2Km grass-underfoot trot and a brief few exercises on the new local outdoor gym. Still doing press-ups on the side of the bath. Knee and ankle still improving but still not 100% better.
4 mile walk to the local anaesthetist
I have to ask, why would you do 30 mins inside after 3 hours outside?
Was it later in the day?
Sort of, I was supposed to be doing about 3:30, but has to take the GF somewhere so I did the Wattbike when I got back.
I was a bit late getting out first thing.
3000m swim 59 mins in the pool
2x 1000m 4x50 8x100
Very busy day, first 1000m was in 16mins so I’m not sure how that ended up taking an hour. I got a lane to myself after 2x and got 4x50 in at 49s before some plum got in and spoiled it, so switched to 100s and practiced some flip turns.
I’m not going to be grumpy, but seven people across three lanes, swimming in circles using the middle for overtaking ok, fine. But - and I’m not talking quality swimmers here - backstroke, really? Kickboarding, really? Walking…really?
I had to just stand and watch when a breast stroker tried to over take a back stroker.
