Training - What Training?!

How do you find it?

I’ve had it a couple of times, it seemed to help for a couple of things but not others.

Colleague is a massage therapist and owes me a couple of favours

The whole calf/soleus/Achilles area is just really tight, so hoping this helps loosen it, so then the AT doesn’t ache

Was interesting to say the least as the cups went on.
Had them on for about 20 minutes and then she used another one to “flush”

Feels looser, but can’t say if it is any better or worse than massage

Treadmill is fixed!

Started off planning a 90min bike and a hard run, changed my mind after warming up on the bike my legs not recovered from weight lifting yesterday, decided jut to “cover” 40km then run relatively easy, but got frustrated at aerobic run pace and picked it up each km.

6km outdoor run!

Managed 4:08 minute k’s. Felt sick the whole way through and nearly fouled myself shortly after.

Still, pleased with the time.

Good news from physio, he reckons significant strength improvement and I can up the volume. I think I will still do my vert session tomorrow though.

80 minutes easy turbo including 1 hour TT position.

Test run. Quad seemed ok, I could feel it simmering but it didn’t get worse. The key seems to be keeping the pace way low.

14km, 1.22.44 at 5.54 pace

Felt great for 35km but then the wheels started to come off/decided I needed to keep a bit in reserve for tomorrow

Good training for Thames Path in 7 weeks
