Bloody hell!!
@tunster has got a âbloody hellâ from the bloke that does a 5hr turbo. Kudos indeed! And a nice one from me, too!
Went outside on my bike today! First long bike ride in a very long time. 70 mile round trip to Dunwich Heath but no dip in the sea as I didnât think Iâd be able to warm up again. Was slow and my PM didnât work but great to be outdoors again.
Lots to do with regaining endurance but tired and happy legs. Enjoyed my bath when I got home
Good man
Was about to jump on the turbo when a work buddy text to say a medical centre down the road was doing Covid jabs with walk ins
Hour door to door and Iâm done
Right thread this time!
Had a nice easy 2:15 ride outdoors today with a friend, quite nice actually riding with someone else and a really pleasant day, rode the second half without gloves after unsuccessfully trying to save a crow that must have been hit of a car
Great work, and thatâs a big weekend!!
Have had my hopeful runs yesterday and today binned due to stuff.
Gonna get out on my bike tomorrow morning though hopefully!
Careful it doesnât effect your hrâŚ!
Running or rather fast walking âŚup and down 46 steps carrying a 5l (5 kg) container in each hand for 75 minsâŚ!
Felt quite tough mentally and went very slowly.

Sod all. Had the Oxford jab last evening.
Hour on Zwift to test the calf and vaccine response
230W NP / .70 IF / 109HR ( maybe a few beats higher for that effort)
400*?? Reps. Session absolutely ruined by every cock womble, his dog and even a wheelbarrow.
Canât wait till everyone is back in the pub gardens or in bed hungover.
The Easter fortnight will be bedlam if the weather is decent and travel restrictions are lifted
So, yeah. I canât ride indoors.
Indoor ftp is 250w ish.
I just did an outdoors IRL ride on my own, to see where the legs are starting, ready for the next 16 weeks.
Ride stats:
73.7km
947m elevation
NP 246w (!! See above !!)
2.28hrs
29.9kph average speed (grrrrrr hammered the last 5 km to see if I could push it up to 30, got to 30.1 then it dropped on the last hill to home - couldâve cheated and stopped the watch on the seafront! )
So apparently I just rode pretty much at ftp for 2.5 hours!
Did you forget to upload the brick run
The Zwift sessions have probably helped quite a bit.
I thought my legs were fine. A family walk carrying the little one at the end has blown that theory to smithereens!
Iâm just hoping gardening is some kind of code for core workout.
24km with Mrs T and the dog
Very easy pace - average hr 129
Legs surprisingly good after yesterday
