First running interval session of the year with a friend. 6 * 800m, straight after sitting down for 11 hours at work. My legs have each independently sent petitions, citing the Geneva Convention.
20km easy road run. 1:49 at 5.28 pace, 130 vert
5km pull and paddles
Easy Zone1/2 run. 35 minutes

Marathon planned on Sunday… God I hate tapering.

There are good training days
That’s are bad training days
And there are days like today.
Double run day all around 5 min per km first session t mill one hour bang on 12 kph, but hot but managed a really good 137 av hr which is the lowest for some time.
2 hour rest
Second run with a friend outside 15 k at a slightly slower pace with similar hr, it’s hilly and warm.
4 k in huge toilet accident… farted but obviously didn’t … in the bushes and like a true marine carried on.
9 k in my left calf exploded, I’ve never been shot but I’m guessing this is what it feels like…?
Matey ran on to get the car while I continued hobbling quite dramatically for 25 mins before he picked me up.
3 cars stopped and offered assistance, in a pandemic that’s really nice, due to the accident I obviously declined.
One mile drive home was agony operating the clutch and I nearly crashed into a roundabout.
We’re ever you are and what ever your doing I hope your training… or life in general is going better than mine.

8k run this morning, 4:20 minute k’s.
Felt dreadful.
20 minute indoor cycling, couple of hard efforts.
2km in the pool - 1500m + 500m

Had a lie in this morning. Family run later but might sneak a 6km in before that.
50 minutes on the turbo this morning. Mainly zone2 but a short interval session in the middle, 60s on, 30s off.
1250m today. Slowly getting back to it.
