Training - What Training?!

Local guy…good ultra runner first tri? certainly first full, went 11:05 and got in the top 50 overall.

So much can go right or wrong in a full distance race.

It’s going to be windy … or so they say !

I have seen :face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth:
Mainly because it is the OPPOSITE direction to today :triumph:
So headwind up all the major “hills”

Long time for that to change yet, that long straight bit ( 2.5? Miles) were you turn sharp right at the pub will be rapid in that case.

I might end up on an ancient but brand new Easton slx front wheel! 25 mm! Lol

Half-arsed token effort of a swim tonight. However, a significant victory over my stupid brain that didn’t really want to go at all :joy:

Poor sleep and was up at 5am, been a slow day as a result, and also saw from the runs on Friday & Sunday.

Hopefully back on it tomorrow, might have a look at Zwift.

Was a brick session from the turbo, TrainerRoad named their workouts after local hills and mountains originally I think then they had to go further afield as they went into the thousands.

The black dog?

That was the wind direction today!
‘Twas absolutely EPIC
I was doing 40-50kmh without pedalling over the top of the Pike :scream:
(The brakes didn’t like it on those tight turns like!)

90mins on Zwift. Mostly Z2 with 10x2min intervals in the TT position.

I hate that bit…

See how we go.

You did get a 3 hr mtb ride in though so not like you have been totally inactive

Forgot to an alarm this morning so 9 hours sleep and then slight panic at 6:50

4.37 mile taper run with some lovely headwind
7:26 mile pace
121HR

Yeah, long time since I had that many hours! I did have a monster sleep once something like 20h! Doesn’t sound possible. I had various coursework deadlines so did an all nighter to finish - handed it in :white_check_mark: That evening we all went out to a club stayed there until 6am, back home for some breakfast then straight into work. At the time I was just working in a record shop so no drama about looking disheveled! Made it through work and followed it by going out again. Actually I worked weekends back then so I was probably back in on the Sunday too. Sunday night = DEEP SLEEP!

Good practice for having to get up in the night to look after kids. Although that is constant whereas going out at weekends you have time to recover!

I can’t sleep 9.

8 every day for 3 weeks now.

Bliss.

That’s my usual, but does involve going up to bed at 2115 (some nights is later, which makes getting up for swimming at 0520 horrendous!)

Been there …!

I sleep at 00:30 religiously.

Wake up at 08:30, sometimes nearer 9, if I have to get up, which is nearly never these days I adjust.

Unlike bike power, swim skills and descending prowess sleep is something I have plenty of these days.

In other news …. It’s looking up brother pj…!

I am more like @joex rarely get more than 7 hours and count on one hand the number of times I sleep right through the night in a year.
