Nah.

Was just feeling the effects of the 20 miler on Tuesday and thought I’d rest my legs a bit

I very much doubt I’d get 3 hours.

Not at 70 kg anyway.

Would hope to be nearish… 3:15 -3:20 would be good, eating and drinking is ….awkward I’m guessing…?!

First timed individual hyrox circuit.

Ended up 4:30 mins faster than me and the pt worked it out at…!

Knocked the run pace down to 12 kph but increased the weight on sleds, lunges etc.

It’s coming… my legs don’t look like mine anymore

#treetrunks

Hr spot on

Picked up a minor calf or calf related tendon strain which appeared on Tuesday. I could run with it but I’d rather take a few days off and hope it clears up. Its almost certainly from overuse. That 110km week finishing with that fast ish 30km was almost certainly the culprit :disappointed:

Been missing riding my bike so gonna get out on that for a few days and pray everything is good to restart on Tuesday. I accidently gave myself a ā€˜spare’ week in my training plan so that is now being taken.

Mrs FB and me did a 1/2 marathon row back in April. was on track for a 1:30 finish but my arse really started to give me grief so I had a few stops to stand and rest it which lost me time. came in at 1:43. Mrs FB at 1:45 - must be something to do with having a more padded arse…(avoids flying shoe…)

2:07 pace is good - at 68 I’m nowhere near that over any decent distance these days, whereas a few years ago I was still knocking out 2min/500 pace over 5km.

Well jel… haven’t been for a proper long run in over a year now :pensive: they’re the runs that make all the difference

Can’t say I enjoyed the last hour, but gotta get the miles in

7 weeks until VLM

Repeat and repeat and repeat - you’ll be a lot stronger - more hills the better. Well… that worked for me anyway

Yeah I’m a bit worried about this.

Haven’t been able to run in two weeks. Physio and sports massage tonight.

Lots of leaning against a wall into a tennis ball for me recently

What’s up?

Pain right at the top of my left glute.

Running isn’t an option as even walking at times is painful. I’d say the last couple of days it’s been feeling better. So rest has been a good call.

Fortunately no pain when cycling

10km steady run this morning.

Planning on a 2k tt in the pool later!

Now I’m know I’m not the most rock n roll on a Friday night but a sports massage has taken the biscuit.

Paying a young woman to dig their elbow into my butt cheek for an excruciating hour

They must love the Schadenfreude - how was that she asks?

Can’t you tell from the tears rolling down my cheek?
