Training - What Training?!

Yeah, i doubt they would feature in any traditional marathon plan!

I went for the “outdoor” pair which have a bit more than the indoor ones.
Rammed the thickest inner sole with forefoot padding I could find in there.

They’re not Five Fingers minimallist, but they’re not Zoom X by any means.

Part of the doing the training in them is to dial in my technique and not relying on a big Air Zoom pocket to cushion me.

Tomorrow I’m aiming to do 8 miles in the whole suit - 5 mile warm up and then Parkrun.
That will be a good test

At least they should take care of two of the long runs

You’ll be fine then. I did my first marathon - IM Wales - in a pair of them!! :man_facepalming:t4:

I still wear them as my everyday shoes. Have a work pair and then the Komodo(?) as my walk around

I did some running in them about 10 years ago.
On grass/trails was lovely.
Concrete, not so much

Those are hideous

I’m not sure why i wore them. I guess i was totally new to running and stuff, read some stuff on the internets and just went for it! Though i was 8 years younger. Not sure my calves and achilles would be quite as accommodating nowadays!!!

Comfy af

There’s a older guy in our running club who wears them & swears by them.

One of the other runners expressed an interest but he was born and bred on one of those farms that time forgot, & was told he might need Vibram 6 fingers

Dunno.

Which one?

I’m thinking they should belong to Lurch the big one ‘Frankie’? either way, they look ’ not totally normal’

Thing is feet are that shape.
They’re not designed to be stuck into a narrow toe box

It wasn’t the shape, it was the size and colour. I’m typing this barefoot (well not typing with my feet, you know what I mean  )

I have a good mate who swears by these.

Personally I think they look weird AF - he’s bloody rapid though

About to put these on for a wedding …!

Weird that …

Don’t try and run a HM in them :+1:

Rest day

And I’ll be getting leathered in expensive ale later.

No chance of 13 miles.
