Training - What Training?!

Last week, staight after Roth, I was fine, this week I am shattered. Volume is right down, but fatigue is through the roof. Did a 1:32 HM yesterday, which should be relatively easy. First 17km felt fine, final 4 km felt harder than the final 4km of an Ironman

I get that, typically after an ultra. It’s like very delayed DOMS!

Did an easy 30min 6km jog.
Ran past the poo mixers.
Bloody stank.

Managed 3:30 pace km on my 6 intervals yesterday bar the 4th one which was right into the wind so was more like 3:45. Had to really empty the tank for the last 3 intervals. Below is from a HRM not a wrist HR.

Just finished 24km at 4:32. Bloody knackered! Thankfully my last mid week big run done.

Someone’s in good form!!!

Couple of hundred metres in the pool. 5km on the treadmill. 45 minutes on a gym cycle. Thought that was it for the day but impromptu 3.5Km fartlek as there is training to be done for Sunday’s scootathon.

Went for a vert session but my knee hasn’t been that happy all week. Today that translated to very sharp stabbing pains. Abandoned and waiting to be picked up.

11.5kms, 1:50, 350mtrs vert.

Glasgow. Fair few climbs but conked out. Traffic is total carnage in places so quite an unpleasant experience today choking on the fumes
