Training - What Training?!

Been chatting to someone about the training plan for this, not gonna go full @clive, @Doonhamer or @Chrace for this…seems simple;

swim Fri AM, drive up after work. Ride the Whitton Saturday, hike Scafell Sunday.
Do that a few weekends and it’s happy days, no?

Shifted and stacked 4m3 of logs. Probably the biggest workout I’ve done Celtman in June…

I missed this one :scream::exploding_head:
Well done :clap:t3::clapper::clap:t3:

Moi? Just back from parkrun, where they’d managed to get it 40m off an actual 5km this week, simply by moving the out and back cone to the right bloody place :roll_eyes::joy:

Oh, pacing?
What’s that then?
Sprint, catch breath, die, die, sprint.
That’s my plan for each KM.

A 5 mile run this morning and it was almost comfortable. Didn’t think that would happen a couple of months ago. A happy boy.

I’m the same.

My head writes cheques my legs and lungs can’t pay at the minute

My pacing like that is the other way around, my lungs and legs say that’s the correct the pace, but my head goes nah, that’s gonna hurt too much later, chill out more.

Just going to concentrate on knee strength in :crossed_fingers:to salvage my race.

Not a great day for me at the parkrun either. Got up and then got a nosebleed! Then dropped the GF off at the shops and needed an emergency toilet break! Got to the parkrun as they were starting so I was pretty much last and trying to get through the crowd.

Wasn’t feeling great, didn’t have the greatest nights sleep and my HRV was 1 :flushed:, the lowest I’ve ever seen, I’d have probably gone back to bed if the GF didn’t want to go shopping. I think the nosebleed just before it affected it though.

First 3k were a struggle then saw a young girl who had already been bent over looking a bit distressed. She had stopped again so I asked if she was alright and slowed down and walked\jogged with her and told her to take it easy and breathe. Sounds like she had a stitch and was just having a bad day. Her dad had dropped her!

Felt a bit awkward given I’m old enough to be her grandad :joy: but she was obviously not enjoying things, I was having a crap day so wasn’t bothered.

Then she legged it off with about 200m to go and dropped me :rofl:

Anyway, just under 23 which actually wasn’t too bad as that would just about give me a 3:15 marathon I think?

Might jump on Zwift to stretch the legs but I’ve accepted this week will be a bit poor. Not felt great all week TBH, and my blood glucose was completely AWOL overnight yesterday :rage:

Maybe worth calling it a day for today if you already accepted it’s a poor week, are you going to gain much by doing a zwift session?

I have been thinking that, it’s more just an easy session to spin the legs and stop me sitting on my arse really. Probably more to keep the ADHD at bay as well :roll_eyes:

Very nice :ok_hand:

How did you sneak that one in under the radar?

15.10 mile run - trundled around in about 2:09.

Not freshest legs but not too bad. Encouraging that a few months ago I was unable to run back to back days, so 15 miles after an 8 miler ain’t too bad all things considered.

Hope you managed to avoid the “parades” :roll_eyes:
