ā¦woke up at 4am in pain, took some paraās.
Walked the dog, waited for pharmacy to open.
Got some good stuff, felt much better.
Sorted out the tradies, then Decided to test the hand with an hour of leaf blowing
Never heard it called that before
Plus an hour!!! Last time a wank took me an hour was when I was on Sertraline.

I did 5.5k uphill on the treadmill at lunch.
Hotter than the sun.
Itās a workout pulled from the Pete Plan⦠longish rest periods between intervals. I wouldnāt have been able to complete the splits at a consistent pace on a shorter rest period.
50 min swim.
Set timer for 50 mins, managed 136 lengths, 3 more than last time.
Itās a small pool!
On a diet of failed rows, boxing and CrossFit type stuff Iāll take that.
150 is the dream.
Thatās pretty much me flat out these days so I get the big rests.
Iām getting a big fan for the next half attempt !!
One thing I did notice though is the 30+ stroke rate, I go at 26/27 all the time for the fast and slow stuff, seems more natural
Cooling will make a huge difference and help to keep the HR in check. I was lucky my wife fed me somes dates and 1/2 a banana at 70mins⦠didnāt have to slow down much to take on carbs.
On hard pieces I try and put 10 watts into stroke rate.
20 stroke 200 watts
30 stroke 300 watts
Iāll put three scoops of TW in a 1 l bottle with a few ice cubes.
That will be more than enough.
I really was hacked off afterwards Iām normally pretty tough at stuff like that, oh well look forward not back as they say.
Earlier this year I attempted an indoor half distance on Zwift. 90km on Tempus Fugit followed by a 21k treadmill run⦠stopped with less than 3k of the run to complete and it still irks.
Did you swim before it ?
Thatās a really good indoor session.
Iāve done that a few times⦠hurts, most of them were 90 k 10 kms though.
We were talking about this today, itās all hard when your going for it.
But Iāve stopped, endex⦠no more about 10? Times in the last 30 odd years, Iāll bet 4-5 of them were on a rowing machine, anything else you can knock it off a touch and maybe even get back after it later on, but concepts just destroy me, probably because Iām not very good at rowing I guess and the position of your lungs when your working possibly?
I canāt swim !!! Have taken lessons but it hasnāt clicked. A few lengths of the pool is exhausting when technique and breathing is poor.
Iām so slow ⦠Iām virtually a non swimmer myself !
