Internal battle at the mo as to whether I go for a run or not. I’m totally in holiday mode, enjoying eating and drinking and cba.

I have been for a leisurely 7km paddle today (with big carby lunch in the middle) though.

Wine is looking really tempting at the mo, as having a lovely week with Mrs GB so far.

Scales of destiny are starting to reveal the truth though! :joy:

Have a 35km hilly race on the 10/10 that I’m totally going to suck at!

I always try and keep things in check - so if have a boozy dinner I simply go for a fasted run the following day. Can enjoy both then ( rarely eat lunch ) so the more I eat the night before, the more there’s in the tank, the further I run - it all works out quite well

Great start to the day!

First time with 100 prowler pushes with 20 kg ( 104 to be precise ) in an hour.

Last two were both in the 90”s.

That’s over a km.

Don’t think I’ll be running very fast this afternoon !!

Looks like something dwayne the rock johnson would do 🏋️‍♂️ … is that what people do in gyms these days? Used to just be a sort of weights machine with lots of appendages hanging off it like something from hellraiser and not much else

Most of them seem to lift weights and look at there multitude of tattoos … and that’s just the women.

Training for a fitness comp early next year, then back to tri.

Prowler is one of the events, getting used to it now.

Another fine display of pacing from me today at Parkrun - 3:30 was my opening gambit. a bit cooler today, cloudy with spots of rain in the air. Didn’t suffer the same detonation as last week so that’s a plus. I reckon 18:58 today. No doubt the time keeper will have me as 19:00

Nell McAndrew spotted in the start area. She’s still got it

When I did London Marathon, maybe 2014 I didn’t realise immediately but I basically followed her over the finish line and was the usual sweaty mess. I then heard a shout from a few paparazzi types shouting for me to f*** off out of their photo and asking her for a pose
