Wow. Now that’s a weekend!!!

And you are shocked by that :joy:

When the weather is nice, I cannot sit around at home and was itching for a little adventure even with no forward planning! I was sorting my IOW route in the airbnb at 11pm on the Friday.

Not bad at all!

In contrast, we did Parkrun on Saturday and picked some blackberries yesterday. Hardcore. :joy:

I got hit by a sleepy stick after getting back from long run yesterday. Had lunch and then fell asleep for 2 hours in the garden. Still feeling a bit tired now. And this is on 7-8 hours per week. No idea know how some people do 2 or 3 times that.

Some weeks I genuinely feel more tired, the less I do. I’m resting my knee at the moment and just feel knackered!

eh?

I know its an obvious one but prioritizing quality sleep (if you can!)

Maybe by not doing 21 days straight!
I’ve always had a rest day once a week especially when doing the big 15+ hr weeks, and now in my mid 50’s i’m starting to think about making that 2 rest days!

I’m well over 1000 days straight, I should probably schedule one in

8.5 mile run with a few steady hill reps.

Interspersed with a quick chat with a friend and some random fucking driver having a go because some stray gob hit her car while I was waiting to cross the road. What the actual fuck!!! :triumph::face_with_symbols_over_mouth: Some fucking jumped up west end hysterical wifey, in her black tinted window Range Rover doing the school run - stopping traffic and shouting at me for fuck all, all the while pumping more fucking shitey diesel into the air - fuck right off.

I was feeling great up to that point too. Lovely autumnal day :fallen_leaf:

Went into work for the help for hero’s fund raiser.

We were trying to do as many kms as possible for staff welfare/ mental health usual stuff.

Ended up with 2.5 hours on a watt bike, 90 kms according to the read out ! 70.3 pb… not that it means anything to be honest.

Held a good wattage for the first hour then turned it to kms, av hr 166 and nearly 2000 cals!

All the governors were coming in and saying well done and keep going the usual shite…

They just smiled over at me, as “ I take this stuff too serious “

Sore legs now.

Love stuff like that.

I got very very wet. Twice.

I swear I saw a guy riding in a pair of goggles on my way home. He’s operating in 3021 is that guy.

My commute home…

@GRamsay I will now concede summer is finally over. BUT… I was still just riding in shorts and ss jersey (OK granted I saw about 50 odd cyclists between the 2 journeys and every single one was in a waterproof coat :joy:).
