Training - What Training?!

@Poet am hoping for sub 1h25, but just don’t know at the moment. Way I felt last week it would be a push. I have always been inconsistent, some days can pull out a reasonably decent time, other days computer says no. Going to try and get another 90km under the belt this week and then cut right back after that.

Have of course got a new pair of special shoes in the cupboard so hope that might help

@fruit_thief what correction factor is set on Runalyze? It’s set automatically but mine was set at 0.8 which resulted in a really low VO2max figure. In Runalyze my VO2 figure changes quite a bit (49 to 59)

Thanks, that’s interesting. Looks like mine is set to 1.0 with a VO2max of 54 at present, I buy that

10 hours last week, 1st 10 k that wasn’t 50 mins, a pretty crap week to be honest.

Got on the bike yesterday and managed 67 seconds…

Fury fight at daft o’clock, crazy brother ( he really is ) and vodka… don’t make you any faster folks.

Fact.

I actually expected a quite good result not a quick vomit in the changing rooms….

But Alcohol is a very powerful drug.

Better this week…. Won’t be hard.

Signed up for Manchester- been moved back to April. Stops me thinking dark nights will be for wine and cake. Usual long run up to Wales

So London - am I right in thinking it will be October next year and then will be shunted back to April as well… not that I’ll likely get a spot

1 hour bike 175w av hr 140… low for me buts it’s cooler.

1 hour run at 4:56 per km pace. Hr av 153, first brick for some time.

More importantly 40ms burpee broad jumps!

The furthest I’ve ever got in one hit!

45 minute spin class yesterday morning.

Meant to run first thing, but the baby has literally been up all night…. Gas apparently.

I’m now in the total “CBA mode” of exercise.

Hand hurts, bed is more comfy than a dark walk to the pool.
Plus, work is fun.
Last project delivered about five weeks early, spinning three new ones at the moment, learning new stuff, which is engaging and an excuse to not exercise :see_no_evil:

So training is generally work related :man_shrugging:t4:

60 min swim ( actually 4 secs over. )

First long swim for 3 or is it 4… weeks ?!

No pressure as expected it to be crap, too much upper body muscle at the min, got in and just thought about the technique videos and just floated away, had my eyes closed for 50% of the time.

Compared to the new stuff I’m doing ( and I am crap at )it was effortless.
