Training - What Training?!

20:06 at ParkRun, this morning. Think I might have just taken the nod over @Adam, but he did give me a very generous handicap by arriving late and starting at the back. :+1:

Very nice running @wheezy - I think I was around 20:30. A very relaxed first km but had loads left in the tank for the finish

Beat my namesake by a second

Looking at his profile he’s got over 250 park runs under his belt.

I’m on a mere 35!

14km easy road run with BIL

Plan was for a 50min slow row but wasn’t feeling it so cut it short at 30mins

Parkrun for me, surprised to get round in 19:33, possibly my fastest time this year and I clocked it as nearly 100m long.

Was tough going but happy with that, although I’ve largely been sat on my arse all week except the Zwift TTT.

First run in a year. It was not good.

Running with the same number is one thing, but the same name? #parkruninvestigations.com

Someone said elsewhere about it being their first 2 layer run, I went for baselayer, merino layer, breatheable jacket, buff, gloves for parkrun - I was planning on taking it easy - but I still absolutely boiled, way over dressed.

I regrettably wore two layers, just a LS base and running vest, I did consider stripping off part way through. Boiled not necessary at all yet

Just sneaked under 20 mins for a parkrun today and it was pretty spot on 5km if not a couple of metres longer :grinning:

Yeah my concession to autumn so far is to move from 5” shorts to 7”

I cooked myself in a jacket last week on a night run

Did you expect it to be?

Well done.

Nice running old timer!

15 kph on the treadmill feels like flat out sprinting at the min …!

That extra weight is hard to carry.

1000 cal challenge

Same settings
Same bike
Same shoes
Same playlist even!

Four mins quicker than last time, two mins off my pb which was set 8? Years ago, means SFA to no one but me.

I’m still pleased, extra weight is certainly not hindering my swimming and static bike efforts.

Running… not so much !

To be fair to myself, not run in a year, massively over wieght, and with a massive hangover I’m surprised I was even able to do it. I only walked up the hills.

Its a start, and the main thing is I enjoyed it.

Cant walk now though
