That really did make me laugh out loud, here’s me moaning about a 4-5 kg increase…!

Thanks, you’ve really given me a good kick up the ass an I need to “ HTFU “

Well done on your run, I’m hardly a tri guru coach of any description, but “ something “ everyday is a great way to get back at it, no matter how little.

Thanks, need to get that consistency going and do something everyday as you say.

Might stick to the bike and swimming though until the weight has come down. Ive got a rotator cuff niggle and the physio said no front crawl but recommended swimming so will do that and stick to breaststroke.

Yep

If you went to any tri friend , coach, physio etc they would probably tell to leave the running till you’ve lost a touch, just through potential injury etc.

What weight were you when you did your IM/ tri”s

A friend of ours did Bolton 2019 at 18? Ish st and beat the cut offs.

Yep a little something everyday, think about what you eat and units of booze per week, I’m doing something similar at the min.

When I was at my best in 2017 I weighed 95kg. I did a 45min 10k in an Oly triathlon. Not spectacular but I am never going to be a super fast runner. My 400m swim time was under 6 mins as well. My FTP was 330 odd.

When I was training for IM I was a little heavier. probably around 105kg, but that was comfortable. My longest training run was 31km and I did that at 5:44min/km

Ah ok, I forgive you that cheese on toast

Good effort going out for a run too👍 maybe the start of a new training streak? You’ve done the hardest bit, actually starting

I need a few more days before I can call it a streak. Couple of turbos and weight sessions last week so I’ve done more in the last 2 weeks than I have in the last 2 months.

Wythenshawe XC race for me.

9km and 40 minutes of bliss

Pissed about in the middle of the field like a total turd, just chatting to people who were gurning their faces off :see_no_evil:

Check out my finish sprint…

It was 3°c when I left for my ride this morning so was kitted out in a thermal jacket and windproof gilet. I was melting within 30 minutes!

Not my fault they all busted a gut over the first 2.5 laps and didn’t have anything left for that final 0.5 lap :joy::rofl:

We all know it’s about that finishing kick…

…for 211th place, 12 minutes after the race has been won :joy:

all about the points, push the other teams back

Can’t work out if that’s a parody face for the camera, or your genuine ‘finishing face’

You look massively tall in that picture, like Gulliver in Liliput. Bet the competition were quaking in their boots

He is!

Nobody runs on their tippy toes or upright.
They all heel strike and hunch over.
I’m only 185cm (6ft 1in) :man_shrugging:t4:

So not that tall at all :older_man:t3:
