Gentle 24min 5k while the kids were in one of their clubs. Ankle a bit sore but manageable. Beast of a headwind on the way back and nearly tripped over a dog but at least it was dry.
482km 7hr drive
Mainly the M62 and A1(M) with some smaller roads around Thirsk, Ripon, Stokesley, Great Ayton, then East Ayton, Broxa, Snainton, Yedingham.
Two crashes (not us) we saw Two fire engines and Two air ambulances.
So no training today for me.
1 hour endurance ride on zwift in TT postion this morning. Was trying to decide how long to ride for when I saw that the ipad had 3% battery at 58 mins in. That was that decided then!
Sun was shining so popped out for a little run to top it up. 7km or so around the town. Big old onshore making it hard to run in a straight line when I ran along the beach!
Blimmin new tube that I had to put in half way to work on Fri is now flat. So debris must still be stuck in the tyre somewhere . Gonna have to fix that today as have to go into work 3 times next week.

She did really well - great effort. Helped that we merged with a local running group 10 mins into the hard. Nothing like a bit of peer pressure to keep you going.
8 hrs 49 for the week.one 50 min turbo. 2x1 hr circuits. Rest running.
Steady 40 minutes on the treadmill. Hot in there, mind.
Nice wee session in the pull today. Took 5 seconds off my ‘off’ time on my 50s and 30s seconds off my ‘off’ time for my 100s and managed to keep to a pace I was happy with. Made a bit of a breakthrough on a technique issue but will put that in the swimming thread.

Wedding anniversary, half term, emergency visit to parents put paid to any plans of “training” but a decent week otherwise
17K trail run today, meant to be steady but for some reason I seemed to keep going a bit quicker as things went on, possibly as I had a decent tailwind for about 6K. And a token effort in the pool.
Probably adds up to nearly 8 hours this week, 3 runs, 4 bikes and 3 swims but still not particularly big efforts in the pool.
Probably got a bit carried away on the bike with the Rapha Rising, managed about 190 Wattbike K’s, but too much intensity, although a lot was probably in the 70.3 range.
As per yesterday though, definitely not firing on all cylinders yet. That should come back with a few decent and consistent weeks. But probably need a bit of endurance right now.
Another 15 hours this week.
My hip flexors have decided they hate me and are tighter than ever.
On a random note, I was mentioned on IM Talk for the 4th time this week.

9 hours … this has become normal this year.
3 x static bikes ( 1 hour) ok results.
Rest is weights and circuits.
Boxing is bizarre first 15 secs the power is ridiculous … after 45 secs… oh dear… fitness has gone.
Just keeping fit with zero pressure or goals, it’s a lovely place to be but I’ll get bored soon like you would !
9hrs for me too, just 7 turbo-ing, the remainder an even swim/run split, quiet-ish week next week due to more beer related activities on Thursday but the body may need the rest, well that’s my excuse anyway
