Our little one is on Penicillin at the moment for his Tonsillitis; he hates taking medicine so it’s a nightmare time what with that (it tastes sh!t) and the Calpol.
Hopefully you’ll both be right-as-rain soon enough!

AFAIK Zwift itself doesn’t require HR for any races, however majority of Zwift races will need HR if you want your result included over on Zwift power.com
ZP is a site that attempts to vaguely police Zwift races, all the series take their results from here and if you enter wrong cat. Don’t have hr etc your result will not show.
Easiest way to enter an event is via the companion app, once entered on the app just go ride Zwift before start time and before the race starts Zwift will magically transport you to the start pen’s.
I came 27th/430 in Stage 1 of the Tour of London (short race). What do I get?
20 x 100m off 1:45
1km pull and paddles
Finally finished a costume, so might get back to some “proper” training, as I won’t need to spending all evening and weekend at the workshop
8km treadmill tempo run. 1km warm up and 7km straight on 4.45
Free rein to brag on a leading triathlon based form.
And also on Tritalk
It was on the companion that I was browsing but it’s likely that meant if I wanted to be included in some leaderboard which I’m not really arsed about.
I’m sure the training benefit is the same
Nah, I CBA with Zwift Power; what’s the point.
Nice steady pace at the local walkway tonight, heard an owl, saw a rabbit and a fox
I got a bit nervous when the gate was padlocked out of the car park, luckily they’d put the padlock on and not actually locked it, thanks to whoever that was, would have been a 4 mile run home!
Apologies for being off topic - didn’t know where else to post and didn’t think a new thread was required. But I did make me smile
I see @Matthew_Spooner is ruffling some feathers on the IMJ Facebook page and getting some real shit for it too
LINK?
He didn’t suggest they learn to swim did he?
ETA - I genuinely hadn’t looked when I posted that, honest!

One reply of “just fuck off and shut the door behind you” made me lol
Joking aside I think he’s preaching to the choir here as we would probably be in his camp. I think the issue comes around the word “enter”. If you enter a race in a years time and train diligently then your swimming should be more than adequate, it’s the ones who get to the actual event and still haven’t bothered that are the problem.
The name of the group is ultimately wrong, they don’t care less about “the journey” it should be the “The Ironman Destination” as the majority only seem interested in the tattoo, the blog, the quasi sponsors etc and want to do the absolute minimum to get there.
32000 members on IMJ or something ridiculous
Your always going to get biff.
I’ve seen the post … some proper helmets on there but at least they reply to each other and don’t talk about politics.
Had a shit day at work yesterday, and posted around midnight on way home from office, obviously not the best time to post on Social media. In my view IMJ is getting worse, and just normalising the idea that you don’t need to be able to swim to do an IM. Seen a few posts recently that imply my journey is harder than yours because I can’t swim macho bulshit. One post from some guy, and the usual “you0’ve got this” type of response. Rather than reply on the Guy’s thread, I put up a post suggesting that entering an Ironman, as a non swimmer, without a well founded plan, is probably not a good idea.
I didn’t see the thread until around 4pm today, actually pretty amused. One person has even gone into my linked in profile to pull up info on me, had one PM threatening to expose my lack of compasion to my employer. Only response I was a little sad about was from Rob Whittaker, who is a decent Triathlete, and generally pretty sensible.
Maybe I could have been more tactful, but essentially I stand by my view. As a pretty long standing IMJer, I will probably leave, it has nothing to do with the response to my post, but IMJ posts are now 90% One and Dones, and most “experts” offering advice are one time BOP IM finishers (appologies to some others from here who still offer great advice to IMJs)
Christ that’s shit. Shows you how awful social media can be
