TriTalkers I have Met

Ha ha ha :joy::face_with_peeking_eye:

The ever present awkward conversation at work;

“Yeah. It’s Thomas. Not Tom”

In my mind you’re Tomasz; more edgy.

Much the same here, I guess we’ve ‘known’ each other for over 15 years and so there’s been lots of shared memories. I remember you giving me really helpful advice about Chile - rather like Adrian on Argentina, only we did actually meet a couple of years later.

BigTed and CarlJ (???) I also haven’t met but feel like I know them.

That’s why I’m called Ian, apparently!

I thought Ian was safe as well until I came in contact with Scousers…to them I’m Eee.

:joy::rofl::joy:

A couple of my childhood mates tried that, not to me but they’d knock on the door and ask Mum or Dad if ‘Eee’ could come out and play.

They didn’t do it twice :smile:

Was that Carl Jennings, the ‘Riptide’ bloke who went from zero to self styled Ironman guru in one DNF?

Or totally different people?

No, Carl James.

Still ripping it up in East Anglia. He takes some great photos and I look at them and think, how can anywhere be so flat :smile:

Yeah my parent said the same about Ian. They have also claimed in the past that I was named after Ian Botham

I’d like to say I was named after Ian Gillan but considering they liked The Carpenters and James Last, I’m guessing not. :roll_eyes:

I suspect it was a purely practical decision. The same rationale that explains why there are hardly any baby pics of me because ’ the pics of your older sister used up all the spare money’.

I’m totally over it though. :grin:

“Met” as in spoken to, then it’s probably not many.

I arranged to meet @Matthew_Spooner Elsinore in 2019 after the briefing.

Have seen @Adam a couple of times, the first I think at Outlaw Half when we happened to be racked next to one another. Saw @chickenboy in person for the first time there after the finish too as he was chatting to some others I know.

Then there’s lots I’ve seen in and around races, but not sure I’ve spoke to them directly. Jorgan, TC, Doonhammer, to name a few

Oh I forgot about that - we were close that race too. I think I was just out of t2 as you were approaching it - terrible forecast but the rain never came

Carlos Fandango.
