We have never met.

Just make sure you bring Mungo as a bodyguard! :joy:

That probably rules at least half of us out these days.

No idea who but some at TTMan in Market Bosworth 2018.

TC - I’m not sure if we’ve ever had a proper chat but seen him at Avon Tyrell (we were supporting an friend) and at the odd IM.

Savaloy - at a swim smooth day in Windsor in around 2011 and then properly in Kona 2013.

Fat Buddha at piratey stuff a long time ago

Adam, Spooner and Wheezy at Bushy parkrun

A bit of repetition here but this thread got me reminiscing :grinning:

First TTer I had the pleasure of meeting was the venerable @poet. We racked opposite each other at Beaulieu middle distance ‘08. Made the mistake of calling him Tom. You only do that once.

@Hammerer at Forestman ‘11. I think we also joined TT 1.0 within a week of each other. Used to enjoy reading his blog on the old site. Another female tt er was there supporting, her husband was Mark (not MarkieR!) cannot remember either of their usernames. She gave me a little cuddle as I was close to tears with half a mile to go.

Went to a Christmas meal, must have been around ‘09. Met Savaloy, who was a top bloke, smallangryman (another lawyer and a lovely guy) his wife was there too, who was a TT 1.0 regular and she was a KQ athlete, but can’t remember her name. I met Tonyp and Shelia too, who were good fun. Met Cleo and Cenzo at some point; probably that meal too.

Went on a couple of Surrey rides that were organised by Phil Wilson and Shedboy was on it. I think GrahamO might have been on it too. Deffo a bloke called Graham. Have to say I had a nice chat with him. That was just before Phil was T-boned by a car and became a bonnet ornament. I never ride down that descent to Peaslake without remembering that. I Was stood at the side of the road for ages waiting for an ambulance with Tim, who went on to borrow my TT trisuit for IMCH. The fastest that suit ever went! Thankfully Phil was ok.

I have the honour of actually having been Mr Slacko. He was entered for the Luton Marathon but got injured, so he gave me his entry in 2011. We meet at the leisure centre where the hq was. That was my pb marathon, so I suppose officially, it isn’t. Slacko also did Forestman and I vividly remember him going past me on the bike, only to see him under one of the gazebos after he had overheated on the run, being attended to by Mrs S.

More recently @FatPom and @Paul_L via the motorcycle thread (maybe a TT chapter meet, next summer?). Also met Paul at a Vitruvian tri back in 2010?

@Adam via Surrey time trialling and Bushy ParkRun, along with meeting @funkin and @Matthew_Spooner. That was a year ago and I have only run one park run since.

@jorgan at Cotswolds half and @joe at IMCH.

@JibberJim again via Bushyparkrun, Surrey timetrialling etc.

There have definitely been others, but I cannot remember their names now, but it shows how much I’ve got out of this site. Thanks all and looking forward to meeting more of you in the future, although probably not while racking a bike for a triathlon.

I enjoyed our evening at Loomies :+1: Definitely need a ride out when it warms up, Baffle House or bust.

I saw but never met Cleo at Outlaw (with her poms poms), she’s American right, or am I mixed up?

That’s right. IIRC, she and Cenzo married and they moved back to the States.

He might not remember me (Andrew) but used to know @fatbuddha when I lived in Eastbourne and we would occasionally both go on the Saturday morning runs or rides from the Tri Store.
We may also have belonged to the same club at one point (Team Bodyworks) but can’t be sure if he was ever actually a member or not.

surname Sievewright?? if so I remember you from TriStore days. If not, prompt me via DM if you’d prefer anonymity.

Was never a member of Bodyworks but of course know them and a lot of their people.

TriStore sadly is no more since Loz sold it and new owners fucked it.

That’s me.
It’s a shame what happened to the Tri Store.

Mrs Mash! That’s her. I think she ended up doing a few IM events ?

Yes, he looked a bit banged up when he went past and said something about ‘not being able to stay upright’. A bit of a nightmare day for him.

seems new owners had no clue according to Undies. He stuck it out for a while after Loz left but eventually resigned before the walls came tumbling down.

We had a stake in the store in the early days when Loz needed some money as the bank weren’t playing ball but he bought that back a few years later. Hey ho - happy days.

Where do you live now??

I suppose I should also add all the heavy breathers on the discord channel for the Thursday night TTTs. It’s a sort of meeting, I suppose.
