I gave the bike a bit of a scrub. Not to @Poet standards of course, but enough for me. Fixed the Garmin mount (hopefully). Managed to find a water bottle that will take my spares :ok_hand:t4:. So that can live BTS.

Legs shaved. Lists written. Few bits to buy from the supermarche tmw.

I definitely felt better again today, but was still weak as a kitten when I went for a run this evening. Including a spectacular 9m28 km :cry:

Just hoping the next 48h uncages the Savannah cat / Bengal tiger within, or at very least springs a ring tailed lemur or something :thinking:

48 hours is a decent chunk of recovery time to go on top. That’s what I keep telling myself. 2 more whole days. Good diet, look after yourself and it’ll be back.

Power of the crowd and all that. Plus at least 4 strong IPAs on Sat night. :ok_hand:t4:

So I’ve checked the weather the family schedule and I should be at the pub, I assume full MAMIL mode will be appropriate dress for such a meet, 'cos that’s what I will be anyway as I need to ride…

For Goodness Shake recovery for post race
Sort out kit

I’ve got that really impatient feeling that I get before a big event. I’m gonna be such a pain today - really distracted.

Tomorrow will be worse though as I’ll feel like I’m just waiting to go all morning, and hanging around feels like a waste. Even though there’s nothing to be gained by leaving earlier or anything.

Still, means I get out of the summer fete early. :+1:t3:
