I’m guessing all the logistical hardware is owned. So most of the costs must go into policing, bribing the Council and profit?

I vaguely recall the roads are quieter and better than you’d think, but I’m guessing they aren’t closed.

When I got into the car this morning and it said 10c it reminded me not to race in September in the Uk :cold_face: although it’s glorious now

GeordieMan is a couple of quid cheeper than IMW too. :roll_eyes:
dunno why IMW is so early in 2023, 2022 was already a week early (tides?). as its normally mid sept.
GeordieMan is a top race, recommended, approx LakesMan levels of hilliness etc. great value, well run, nice sw1m, bike AND run, and on-site camping just £10.

usually its deliberately a week or 2 out of season AFTER the school hols, as Tenby can easily fill its hotels without IM.

It looks like Summer Holidays end Thursday 31 Aug next year; so some schools might go back on Fri 1st. But yeah the timing seems a bit ‘risky’ as I’m sure many schools won’t go back until the 4th.

YEAH, Derby do that too.
Two INSET days (Fri and Mon) a fortnight BEFORE the kids break up for summer.

WHY!!! Just tack them onto summer hols.
You absolute doss Lords.

Then 1st and 2nd were INSET days, too.

WTAF!!!

I am expected to do CPD outside of working hours.
If I don’t stay relevant with latest stuff, then I’m outdated and will be sacked.
Different world that public sector.

how dare you say that! they are entitled to strike for better pay to go along with their better working conditions and gold plated pensions and you-cant-sack-me attitude to ‘work’, on the rare days they are even scheduled to theoretically do any (the tw@s). :rofl:
