There was a minor update on Saturday but just tweaked a few things. Have read that a larger update is imminent. Worth riding on April 1st too as they normally joke around with something. Big wheels, paperboy bikes, flaming tyre tracks etc previously

So I’m getting pissed off now. This is the third time I’ve joined an event (race or group ride) and I’ve had no actual pop up to join it so just got stuck riding around Watopia. Wtf is going on? Why does it work sometimes and not others?
I’m not going to be able to complete the tour now as I have a proper workout tomorrow

I think they run on AWS… in which case they can scale in seconds, and the demand they are generating isn’t even a rounding error for Amazon… suspect its a coding issue, rather than capacity… they’ve had a few similar problems given the pace that they are developing the platform at.
Tour de Watopia Stage 4 - I managed to log in and get to the start line 6s before role off. It was supposed to be an easy effort today after yesterday’s huge effort. Started off at a nice sedate 200w, and was in 80th position out of 150. As I warmed up, I put in more and more effort, and started to bridge the gap to other groups, putting in 400+W efforts. After 3 laps, found myself in the lead group, althouh there were 2 lonely riders 2 mins ahead. Then climb on the 4th lap, managed to break away with 3 others. By the 5th lap we had 20s on the chase group, and had closed the gap to one of the riders ahead to 24s. At the final sprint I came second in my group, and 4th overall, which is a big result for me.
End stats, 1h13m 286W average

Happened to me on a tour stage last week, mildly annoying. They run on AWS but have had issues with high numbers before, although it’s not server issues.
sounds like you smashed out a monster ride!
Lost sim mode 2 out of the 3 stages I’ve completed so far on the tour. Not sure if it’s my trainer or Zwift 
This has happened to me a few times, I thought it was something I was doing wrong but obviously not. It has worked the last couple of times though.
It’s definitely been busy though recently.
I see Newbury RC are running 10 mile TTs on a Wednesday.
Once I’ve figured out the ins and outs of registering etc I may give it a whirl.
This week is a Tri club group meet for which I’ve been sent a file that I’ve spent hours trying to upload. Shouldn’t take longer to set it up than to ride the thing 
Also, when it failed for me I don’t think I had a hr strap on, not sure if that’s relevant?

Its over 8 weeks, and there are a few TT’s to choose from each week.
Its being organised by a friend of mine, and has a good mix of standards, from a couple of bloody good testers, to me!

I mentioned it earlier in the thread. Did it last week, actually 17.8km. No special entry just using companion app as for all events. You get a start time and ride.
