Virtual Zwift Rides

Annoyingly the weather is rubbish here today so I could have done the TTT as I’m probably skipping the club 10.

I’ve entered a British tri race @6 in cat b. Anyone else?

I’m going for the 18:20 Climbing series.
3x up Bologna - Group ride but smash the hill (should be erm, interesting).

did stage 6 today after KOA, love the paris course. great for crits

Well my steady hill thing was a bit weird.
Apart from some serious moaners not understanding the session… Seemed to be quite a good workout on bologna course.
Steady ride to the climb. Hammer up. Regroup. Ride round. Repeat x 3.
Except the finish came at some random point not even halfway up the climb. Wasnt expecting that.
Then cba to grind up after that.

First race in a few weeks, after more steady state tri stuff. Ouch. Its amazing how quickly you lose the punch needed in a zwift race!

Almost pulled the plug after 15/20mins. Managed to motivate myself to see it through but it was a real struggle.

Over half way on the new routes now too. 4 done in France, and that was the Champs route in Paris ticked off

My session could have ended up on the RANT thread. Got in the garage and the homeplug wifi wasn’t having it, connected but no traffic for some reason and didn’t have time to mess around.

Missed the start of the British Tri race, then thought I’d just the TTT for a bit of fun and sit in. On the start line changing my bike and the wattbike powered off, but the time it had linked up again I was 20 seconds off the back so sacked that.

Then did the Greatest London Loop to tick off another one, AP ~280W I think.

Impressive!

Ooohhh.

Got a green jersey today.

Obviously a slow day.

But weirdly, there wasn’t a sprint section.

How bizarre. Oh well, I’m keeping it. Might frame the screenshot. :grinning:

18-ish mile magnificent 8 TT tonight, 243w ave, 21 starters, 7th over the line, clearly apart from the A chap who won by a mile or more, not a stacked field!

Been decorating all day, so easy recovery tonight.

Ticked off Richmond

57 miles of Mega Pretzel, not a lot left in my legs or head going into start of epic KOM, maybe try again in a few weeks. Broken.

Jumped on the Crit City race, that was painful, 21 minutes at 310W after a 5k effort this afternoon.

7th in Cat B, although looks like 1 has been DQ’d, although I thought I might be at 4.2W\KG

Think Zwiftpower takes average of your best 3 races (in an certain time period) before upgrading you.

CRIT city events definitely a good way of trying a 20-30minute hard effort!

Did a 100km event in there that ended up more fun thank advertised with a little punch up the hill each time you came round.

The British Triathlon Handicap race at 6pm on Mondays is a decent little hit-out. get in a little group and smash TTT is for a bit then try and win a sprint.
Numbers look low tonight but 12 in C for me. Got in a group of 5 last week and came 2nd in the sprint

Sorry to hear. Looks a good event and I may try it next week.

Managed to hang onto the front group until the final time up the prime climb when let the front few get a little bit away from me. 12th on the road and 9th on Zwiftpower in the B’s.

Enjoyed it (definitely type 2 fun) and definitely feel
I’m continuing to improve my cycling virtual and on road.

I always thought I was a TTer based on the long continual efforts I use to stick to but the switch to the crits and multi lap races have kept me entertained and physically spent by the end.
